NFL 2010

 Come on. The Jets were 9-7 WITH two free wins. The Colts would have been 18-0 going into that Super Bowl if they wanted to be. Nothing you are saying makes any sense right now.

edit: Ok I found an extra person to join the league so I guess we'll have twelve people.

They lost their games mostly because of poor decision making on behalf of Sanchez in terms of throwing the ball and getting intercepted a lot. When they stuck to the "run the ball, shut the other team down" strategy they were incredible.

Without two freak games from Ted Ginn they would've been 11-7.

But as I said, Sanchez will have improved significantly this year so they will definitely be at least division champs.

Do we need a thread specifically for the Fantasy league? I know "real" sports fans get annoyed by the fantasy talk. But then again there is a lot of overlap.

I don't think so, as almost everyone who posts in this thread is playing.

I request that a separate thread be made for the sake of all of those (i.e. me) who love football but hate fantasy football and prefer not to have talk about the actual sport mingled with the fantasy angle of every game.

Call it the Fantasy football 2010 thread. What about NCAA talk? Should it have it's own thread or can it be alright to talk about it here?

This is the NFL thread, so unless you're talking about the draft, no... you shouldnt talk about ncaa football.

I dont mind fantasy football, but when it becomes all the conversation in this thread, I do believe it should probably have its own thread.

Haynesworth is just being punished by an asshole. Why a guy that big would ever have to run 3 300 yard sprints is beyond me.

I post when there's actual football being played. And wouldn't you know it, almost everyone pretty much exclusively talks about the teams they like (which are more often than not the only teams they know in any kind of genuine depth). In fact that's how it should be, because the vast majority of the time that you people spend talking about teams you don't root for you're just talking out of your asses because you don't know anything about the dynamics of those teams. I usually stop posting during the season when the fantasy bullshit content gets too deep to wade through or when people start saying too much stupid 'typical neanderthal sports fan' chatter.

And things are back to normal

Okay, so people are allowed to be a dick to me and semi-regularly make passing referential insults about me, especially during the weeks or months that I don't post, yet the second I respond to something negative with something even remotely negative, "things are back to normal?" I've spent about the last year trying not to harass anybody on this forum. In fact I've been one of the more courteous people here for a while. Go scroll through my more recent post history. You're much more of an asshole than I am, and I still don't understand why people like you and King Drunkard are incapable of reading anything I say without thinking "this guy is a fucking asshole" and probably not even take anything I say seriously. Even Einherjar seems to have come around and doesn't dislike me any more, so now it's your turn, unless the fact that I don't enjoy drinking beer or talking about imaginary sports leagues or insulting other people because they like a team that I don't like and try to refrain from talking about other teams when I don't know enough about those teams to really say anything meaningful bothers so much that doing so is impossible (for example, putting the full blame of the Steelers' sack issues on the offensive line when Roethlisberger is as responsible, proven by the sack records in the games where Dixon or Leftwich have started in recent years). I wasn't insulting people, I was criticizing actions that bother me. I'm included in the 'you people' that occasionally talk about teams they don't know enough about to really comment. I try not to though. Let me know what you think, we can be buddies and stuff.
