nu metal sucks!

yah... if you say their bassist is shit and if you say his vocals aren't just fantastic... then you don't know what you're talking about... sorry... not to mention that their song writing is completely unique, original, and amazing

The bassist isn't quite "shit," he's average at best. The vocals are pathetic, and there's nothing unique or complex about them.
 
You know what I do hate!
when all you fucking shitheads bash other types of music .....
bands like Korn , Slipknot , Disturbed , Sevendust and other bands in that genre aren't doing anything wrong, they are playing music .. music that alot of people seem to enjoy ..and for some reason a certain bunch of people think that these bands should stop what they are doing just because they think it's shitty music.

Sorry if I offend anyone here but the amount of hypocrisy on this forum worry's me sometimes... aren't we Opeth fan's

I agree.

Ill argue with anyone about technicalities, like who has the better bassist and which guitarist is better... but in the end its just music and everyone can listen to what they want, i have freinds who listen to Rap and i have no problems with it, i have friends who listen to numetal and i have no problems with it. Occasionally i like a rap song or a numetal song and who cares?

I mean if people are chooisng to like something because its technical then thats kinda weird... if they happen to get more out of technical music then that is fine but as long as they understand its a subjective thing. some people get more out of simplicity, and those people should be allowed to both play and listen to simpler music with no ammount of disrespect towards them or anything.

I don't have a probem with people listening to mallcore. But I do have a problem with them trying to tell me that it has any more artistic value than the average pop act.

Actually, Only one song was about Jonathan being raped. One in four records. Most of the songs are either "women are mean to me" or "touring sucks"

The playing is not amazing. The only thing that i can appreciate is the drumming, and even that is not 'amazing'. You've got no idea, kid. "Death Blooms" is a great song, but the playing is faaaar from amazing... if you think that mudvayne are 'amazing' musicians, then you are on the wrong forum, cheif. Have you heard Death's "The Sound Of Perseverance"?? Obviously not. now THAT is talented... they are -Amazing- musicians (were...).

Now, you give me one example of 'amazing' playing, and 'genius writing' in any of their songs, and i will personally kiss your ass. :rolleyes:

Let me guess, you are either:

A) Not a musician yourself...
B) A bad musician...

I started going through Death the other week; I must admit that there wasn't really much that I liked. Great musicians/music, yes, but just didn't appeal to me.

Mudvayne, I think, are very great considering where they are coming from. What I believe to be the biggest thing that scores negative remarks is the "Slipknot v2.0" comment. It's bullshit.

Mudvayne is nothing like Slipknot. The only relation I see, is that Shawn Crahan co-produced L.D.50, and they toured quite a bit. Different genre, different style, different music.

Mudvayne are surprisingly unique and original, and I think the only bad member is the guitarist. Sure, he's great, but when you look at the other members, it's obvious that he's nothing special. The bassist is probably the best 'nu-metaller' I've heard, and the drums is above par. While Kud (vox) isn't a 'growler' like Mikael, he does show an amazing throat being able to go from his 'growls' and straight into some real, clear 'singing'.
