I don't know about that. It takes a lot of talent to sing well. I'm sure he probably spent some time crafting and fine tuning his singing voice. He may not be a Julliard trained opera singer who obsessed over every little pitch, but I don't know if I would say he was "born with it". He was born with the possibility of singing well, I guess.
