If I have to pick just one album, It will be Death- "Human". The songwriting is awesome, as well as the musicianship. There is also no filler on this album IMHO. It was also one of the first old-school death metal albums I bought, and the one I´ve listened to most often.

One of the best early Death albums imo.

Master is an underrated DM monster, and this is their best effort. OSDM win.

Swedish OSDM Masterpiece

Best Bolt Thrower album imo. When speaking of OSDM it's not fair not to mention this guys, they just kick ass.

Fucking brutal, amazing NY OSDM, also an essential album imo.

Suffocation pierced from within and malevolent creation's retribution are just tasty old school death metal. Excellent riffing, decent production.

would have to be my favorites from the glory days of pure death metal (~89-94ish). Into Darkness, Graves of the Archangels, and Deathcult for Eternity: The Triumph round out the top 10 DM albums once you include death/doom, modern stuff, and the more progressive stuff.
