Pointless rants about music

Jaen, you will be flammed. Thanks for re-igniting. :D

Anyone have Watchtower - Control and Resistance? Alan Tecchio is a bit over the top for me. In Instruments of Random Murder when he wails

CorporatiiiioooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOns!

That makes me cringe a bit. If you're going to wail that high might as well just do it King Diamond style.

In an attempt to destroy a CorporaTIOOOOON!

His voice is alright, sometimes I wish there were no vocals at all

Yeah, or if the vocals were less over the top, like how Jason did the vocals on Ink Compatabile. C'mon, let's go over to the ink forum and harass Ron. Get him to round up the guys and finish Mathematics, and remix C & R with Jason on vocals.

dimebag darrel sucked

"Sucked"? As a guitarist? Because if that's what you think, then just posting on a Symphony X forum is a contradiction since Romeo himself considers the aforementioned a big influence of his. If you think he sucked as a human being then I pass. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. :p

Then again, if you're just kidding I've spent too much time typing an answer.

before dimebag died, no one really cared that much about them. I mean sure, they have their fans and what not, but i remember when they split up, mostly everyone was like "well...that sucks, but whatever", but now the guy died and has been immortalized.

The only few metal kids at my school like Pantera, and I only chose "Cowboys From Hell" to be a "More then 1 Time" play.

That's my fav too. You should really try and find "Power Metal". That was their first Indie release with Phil Anselmo in 1988. That's when they started the transition from 80's glam to what they became.

It's full of great riffs, melodies, and solos...and a fair bit of cheesiness. :D

Pantera was one of the first metal bands I've ever listened to... they got me into metal and everything. They're still one of my favorites. :erk:

thats cool man, but what im saying is that their rise to popularity nowadays is due to dimebags passing away.
