Drawing parallels between such masters of the score and SX is just unfair, so let's stop comparing the output of classical composers and especially JS Bach to that of a progressive metal band. Don't forget the fact that although many compositions took years to complete, there were others composed during the same time span.

Btw, a small correction: Bach died in 1750, so the completion of the Mass is thought to be around 1748-49

He finnished it shortly before his death in 1749...

and yes, its fine to compare them, like I said, if you wanted any more complex music than SymX you would have to start looking at true classical works.

Ok, I've noticed the common denominator is Ursut. Every thread that gets shat on usually has an Ursut post on that first page.

Also, every one of his post is on the offensive. Every epic flame war usually involves him.. I would actually be very happy if he got banned, and it would also cut Jax some slack.

I used to hate it how in old Sepultura songs (Beneath the Remains, Arise era), Igor would always throw in a break between snare hits and hit a crash cymbal instead and followed it with a rest. I'm talking about the fast beats (maybe half the speed of a death metal blast) This always annoyed me.

mine is not a rant exactly, BUT.. on the first Crimson by EOS, at the clean part that starts about 27:00 .. at the end of that where he goes "But is she of man, made of flesh and blood, or is she the offspring of the unholy God!" when he rips into the word 'God' it literally sends a shiver all over my body - the first time I heard that part I nearly wet myself I think lol, I definately had quite a vocal reaction I had to keep going back and repeating it over and over again until I forced myself to stop so that I dont get bored of it. But oh god I love it!
