Progressive Rock

Can anyone recommend some entirely instrumental prog albums?

Univers Zero is an instrumental prog band. I only own one album, ceux du dehors, but I can testify that it rocks.

Also, Tako's self titled is a quaint little album, very fun but not a masterpiece by any means.

Krautrock is technically a subgenre of prog rock, even though they aren't like other prog genres. It is called prog sice it has the same adventurous spirit in the same time period and was a major influence on english prog. I would reccomend phaedra by tangerine drean to represent this genre. Also try autobahn by kraftwerk, although there are some processed vocals in it.

Gordian Knot's self titled is a modern prog masterpiece.

Liquid tension experiments self titled rules too.

Thanks for the recommendations. I own the two LTE CDs. Will have to keep an eye out for some of the others.
