Check your sources. Wilson wrote the lyrics or music... can't remember, to Opeth's "Death Whispered a Lullabye"

//me shakes head
I'm afraid that description applies to a majority of the internet's forums. You always have the option of being ambivalent, or neutral in these matters - or simply not swearing at one another in the vain hopes that the amount of profanity will somehow convert the other party to your side.The Hubster said:No wonder Opeth fans have such a bad reputation. Message boards are not another method of socialising. They are a joke, and should be advertised as such. Personaly, my aim is to have a bit of fun and take NOTHING seriously. If you take message boards seriously, you fail at life.
Think aboot it.
Moonlapse said:haha, I have to say I disagree entirely. I have learned so much about music (and other random things) over the years that I tend to take forums quite seriously. A productive online community can be a really good source of knowledge aswell as a nice place to sort of 'let-go' after a day's grind. This sort of pseudo-socializing and information exchange is exactly why I'm here, and probably will still be in years to come...
So I like to believe that the trolls are the ones who fail at life.
In that case I´m paranoidBurningSky said:steven wilson is good for opeth production. without him we would have the awesome lead in "Dirge for November" and the solo in "Bleak". Besides that, hes just good at mixing sound. IF you listen to PT albums theyre just perfectly mixed and I love it. I dont know what the fuck that dude was talking about above with Steven taking over the music. Mike has too big of an ego for that, plus the fact that in the DVD he shows Steve what to play. I think some of the people on the forum are too worrisome of what the next album will sound like. I just know its gonna be an Opeth album and Mike will write it. Relax and enjoy!
Well-said. I totally agree.Moonlapse said:haha, I have to say I disagree entirely.
