And Morbid Saint before Kreator is silliness, even though Spectrum of Death is a far better album then anything they did. In the ~300's and below, sure, but not any time soon.

Man, it's not that I necessarily think that Heaven and Hell is BETTER than the other Ozzy albums, just that, well....when I want to listen to Ozzy, I'm going to go to one of the first 3 9 times out of 10, whereas if I ever get a hankering for Dio Sabbath, Heaven and Hell is the way to go. So I sorta end up appreciating it more.

And, regarding Morbid Saint and Kreator, I'm sure you're with me in thinking that either before Destruction is silliness ;)

I would agree but I have a whole '80s Slayer fanboyism (and Hell Awaits love cannot come without None Shall Defy love either). Either way, such a classic.
 
As far as thrash goes ...

I would not be cool with that Exodus album getting on anytime soon, there are pleeenty of other thrash albums that should make that list before Bonded By Blood....

Show No Mercy definitely needs to be on the list. Also Kreator's Pleasure to Kill and Extreme Certainty, Sodom's Persecution Mania and Destruction's Eternal Devastation need to get on there sometime soon also, along with Coroner's mental Vortex and No More Color.
 
I don't know I used to not be so fond of it but I bought the CD a week ago and have been spinning it a lot. Some tracks still fail to be memorable, but the thing holistically kicks ass. And if influence is relevant, they were one of the first.
 
Bonded By Blood is easily the best thrash album when it comes to thrash purely for thrash's sake. Nearly flawless album, and as said they were one of the originators. In the Sign of Evil should be the first Sodom album, being their only one where they actually wrote a Slayer riff before Slayer did. The only thing Persecution Mania has going for it is the title track, and Tom Angelripper (both vocals and bass tone). The rest is pretty much derivative and if it was released on a shitty small label people would give as much of a shit about it as they do Blood Feast.

I still say Watchtower's inclusion is long overdue, but too many people are too pussy to handle the falsetto within.
