The Official Good Television Thread

it's perfect for what it is, it just has a very specific appeal (helps if you've worked in that environment) and is always gonna disappoint people who saw the american one first.

I'm just starting to watch the first season of Homeland. It's good, but a bit overly pornographic, like the makers are trying to push something.

Finished The Office. The ending has so many feels. I just wish they did an interview with Michael Scott to see what he's doing after the left. He didn't even talk in the last episode.

Anyone watch Making a Murderer? It's not bad so far.

First season is good, the next few are okay, and the most recent two have been very good. I wouldn't give up on it. It's great.

Watched the shit out of Mr. Robot the last couple days. Loved it. Like a mix of Fight Club, American Psycho, and The Matrix, with the Christian Slater from Heathers and Pump Up The Volume. No idea what they do do for S2, but I can't wait to see it. I can't decide if Portia Doubleday is a bad actress, or if it's a very accurate portrayal of a woman in her 20s.

There was so much good TV this year. This is up there with iZombie, Fargo, Nathan For You, You're The Worst, Better Call Saul, and Mad Men.

Black Mirror is awesome.

I'm watching this documentary on Netflix called Making of a Murderer about this guy, Steven Avery, who was convicted of a sexual assault crime he didn't do. He also has an IQ of like 70, and didn't fit none of the details but because law enforcements were really bias towards him and his family for other reasons they convicted him.

This shit is making my blood boil.

Most stuff Charlie Brooker does is great. I never really think of myself as much of a 'fan' of people but I've enjoyed his work since I was a kid and he wrote for PC Zone. The news would be so much better if he presented it. Weekly Wipe should run through the year.

Watched the first few episodes of Gomorrah over the last week. Definitely has a similar vibe to The Wire and manages to be realistic or 'gritty' without coming off as amateur. First Italian TV show I've seen. Was gonna check out Deutschland later and I think that'll be the first German TV show I've watched. It's weird how much the US and the UK dominate television and (to a less extent) film. It can't be that language/subtitles are the main reason, as I'm sure the majority of non English speaking viewers need subs to understand English language productions. You get all the trendy Scandinavian dramas and a few French things in the UK but that's about it. I guess there's all the Japanese shite too. Countries like Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, China, etc. all seem to be slacking though. Was gonna add Canada and Australia but TPB and Review are both good enough that neither country really needs to do anything else for 50 years.

Don't do drugs.

It's a great doc. It's fucked up how they did that to him

Monster Jam is going to be on FS1 on the 17th. Can't wait for this shit. I can watch monster trucks for hours on end!.

Rewatching The X-Files again in anticipation of the new season. Only watching the mythos episodes though, for time reasons.

Top 3 shows ever for sure.
