A lot of unfamiliar names on there. But super excited about Carax, Farhadi (never makes a bad movie), Verhoeven and Audiard. Kurzel is a talent too but hasn't really landed one since Snowtown.

carax, farhadi and verhoeven will be high priority for me. new apichatpong, anderson and trier are a big deal for me as well, although the latter two can range from amazing to really fucking bad so i won't let myself get too excited. cool for baker to get in there too.

MK2 Films Boards Andrea Arnold’s Cannes-bound Film ‘Cow’.

A passion project for Arnold, “Cow” has been in the making for over six years. “This film is an endeavour to consider cows. To move us closer to them. To see both their beauty and the challenge of their lives. Not in a romantic way but in a real way,” said Arnold.

“It’s a film about one dairy cow’s reality and acknowledging her great service to us. When I look at Luma, our cow, I see the whole world in her,” added the acclaimed director.

oh i linked the second page by accident haha

i love slant (for movies/TV/games, definitely not music), they have some of my favourite genre and decade lists anywhere, but you also have to take some individual reviews and lists like this with a pinch of salt.

I always thought Dawn was overrated, particularly when held up next to its predecessor.

This list makes me realise how much Romero I've missed out on watching besides his zombie stuff.
