It didn't do a lot for me tbh. Not bad but not the American Football I know and love. I'm hoping the whole album is much less dream pop and more classic midwest emo.

Unfortunately I think you're right. That 2016 album was a bummer, kinda forgot it even existed TBH...

They'll never match the brilliance of the debut album and '98 EP again.
