In case you didn't already shut down the browser in panic, here's some more info:
Name is Olli, 22 years old and I live in Oulu, Finland. Currently a student of electrical engineering/telecommunications in the university of Oulu.
Graduation date TBA...
To get a picture of what I enjoy listening to, check out my awesome virtual album collection. Power/classic metal mainly.

Finally I got around to doing this so here we go!

Name: Roberto Jose Mendoza Montoya (Everyone calls me Rob, though!)

Born: Managua, Nicaragua, March 18th 1970

Live: San Pablo de Heredia, Costa Rica. I love CR, I've been to other places in the Americas and for me, there's no place like it. It's not a first world nation but it's peaceful and quiet and you don't feel like you are living a rat race all the time.:p

Work: I work for an American company called Language Line Services, that are based off Monterrey CA, as an English-Spanish Interpreter and Quality Control Specialist. I've been doing this for the past 7 years and I love it. The only job I've been where you feel that you are helping, at least, one person during the day :)

Marital status: Single and loving it but you never know!:loco:

Hobbies: Metal, of course, but I also enjoy classical, jazz and electronic dance music. I love literature and I'm a WW2 buff. I'm a huge sports fan and my teams are the Steelers, FC Barcelona, Manchester U, and Brazil's National Team. I'm also a Devil's fan in the NHL. I also like going out with my friends for a nice conversation and dinner.

Hello! Some of you know me, and the majority probably don't. :)

My name is John Willcoxon, I live in a little unicorporated town called Pell Lake in the US state of Wisconsin. Been a music fan since I raided my sister's record collection and discovered The Beatles in the early 1970's, while I was still in single digits.
Exploring different music kept me away from being influenced by what was "hot" on the radio, and that exploration has never stopped. By the time I hit double digits (I was born in 1964, so I'm officially one of the old geezers) I was getting into Deep Purple, Sabbath, Hendrix, Cream, Zep, etc. I really found a home with the NWOBHM, and really liked finding out about bands that almost nobody here in the states had ever heard of. God bless Kerrang magazine during that time! Now, at 43, I'm STILL a fan of hard rock & metal (why else would I be here? ;)). I work as a Data Center Coordinator for a Financial/Payment services company, and have been in the IT field since the mid 80's. Online,I moderate the Symphony X forums, as well as their mailing lists, and also have been a moderator at the Freak Kitchen forum as well. My only vacation every year is the Prog Power USA festival, so even though I'm old, and still have responsibilities, music plays a HUGE part in my life. I've been a guitar player for longer than I care to admit, and what once was a passion, is unfortunately more of a hobby now. Along with my metal, I have a great liking for music that can't be classified by any genre label. Huge fan of bands/musicians like Frank Zappa, Mike Keneally, and Freak Kitchen. I listen to some classical, as well as a lot of Jazz fusion, and blues as well. I am a SWM, although I've come close to walking the aisle on 2 occasions.:zombie: I'm all over some of the UM forums, and am QUITE happy to have been harassed by Henri to stop by and check this place out. That's all for now, I'm a pretty open, honest person, so if there's anything else you want to know, never be afraid to ask! :heh:
I have a bunch of pics up at my myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/jdubya777 and here's one to stick to this post:

Ok Ill bite..

My names Stu (Ill keep my surname quiet for no reason other than I hate it), I was born back in 1971 on a friday the 13th (seriously) in a town called Aylesbury which is just north of London in England! Sadly aged 20 I made the huge mistake of moving north west to Telford were Ive lived ever since and hated it.
Im heavily tattooed and have become famed on other boards for my "back tattoo from hell (pic to follow)
Im divorced but live with my girlfriend of 5 years now and we have a daughter, Scarlett, aged almost 2 years old.
Got a couple of dogs but they are both getting on and I doubt we will have them this time next year sadly :(
I discovered rock aged 15 when van halen hit the UK charts with "why cant this be love", that started the ball rolling, europe and bon jovi added steam and finally Iron maiden gave me the boot up the arse I needed to become a total metal head, after that I also discovered punk, goth and other forms of alternative music all of which I still love and listen to!
Ive worked as a van driver for just over a year now after losing a job I had been at for 15 years when a lying bitch made up some fale accusations against me and Im still under investigation by the police due to those lies but I hope that will be comeing to an end very soon and once my name is cleared I then intend to take legal action against her and my former employer!! But anyway as I said, Im now a delivery driver and love it! No boss looking over my shoulder, music blasting in my van all day and I work with a great bunch of people!
Thats about it, ill dig up some pics now :D

Impressive tatto indeed. Welcome to the forum Stu as well as Colin and Gülfer (although she posted here before or I have seen here in another forum at UM).

I also would like more regulars to introduce to the rest of the audience, don't be shy nobody bites around here (except maybe Sixxswine :p)

FC Barcelona

:yuk:... just kidding.

And not exactly regular but lately I write more. Let´s go:

My name´s Marco-Antonio Romero. I was born in 1973 and I live in Madrid, Spain.

I´m single and it´s OK for me. ¿Music or marriage? METAL!!! :headbang:

I´m civil servant and work at spanish Ministry of Justice. I´m financial deputy and I have to pay to the whole Justice system in my country. It´s quite stressing, I´m responsible to manage 1.500.000.000€ and we´ve just finished a 2 months strike in Justice administration (longest in democracy in spanish public administration).
Besides I write on a webzine (www.cuantoyporquetanto.com) about music. I didn´t have too much time but I try to combine. Sometimes I feel I get a "double life" but at the end of the day, it´s quite interesting.

Hobbies: Music (metal) above all (concerts, buying albums,...), soccer (Real Madrid the best team in the world :worship:), sport in general. Until 2007 I ran a program in a radio station here in Madrid but I left.

Bands: Tones of them in every metal related style. From AOR to black metal and grindcore. However, talking favourites I´d choose two of them: SAVATAGE and RIOT. In my opinion, the most talented and underrated bands I´ve ever heard. "Streets", "Edge of thorns", "Gutter ballet", "Thundersteel", "Inishmore",... masterpieces!!

Pics? Mmmm... I don´t like too much pics. Besides I don´t know how to put a pic on the web. If I learn one day I´ll do it!!

COÑO! Prefiero que me fusilen a esa responsabilidad

I'm not a fan of Savatage but I love Riot and I agree with you totally.

Geeze! I feel funny saying "Welcome aboard" to new people because I'm feeling new again. It's been a while but Welcome aboard! This is a fun place to hang out and talk Old School. It's really cool to see a lot of younger faces in the mix. Makes me think that Old School may not be so old afterall and there will be a future. :kickass:

Welcome aboard! Speaking as a Savatage fanatic, and a big Riot fan, I have to say those are good choices. 'Streets' is my top album of all time, and I'm on record stating that 'Thundersteel' should be spoken about in the same reverance as 'Keepers Part II'. That Riot album was one of the power metal precursers.
