Top five In Flames songs

You skip the best songs unfortunately

Bullet Ride and Pinball Map are one of the best songs on Clayman.

I cannot stand Come Clarity, if I had to choose one, it would be Dead End, because of the female vocals and that's it.

Soundtrack hmmm... 1 song only: In Search For I

Man Ive gotta disagree I cant stand Bullet Ride, Embody The Invisible is my favorite opener. Id rate Bullet Ride a 6 or so. Embody is a 10 to me. Take This Life 6.5 , yeah I like Take THis Life better than Bullet Ride. Id give Clayman a better personal rating if it wasnt for Bullet Ride. Reroute and F(r)iend are rated at 4 and 3 to me. I always skip them. Ive got all my albums packed at the moment for moving and I cant remember the openers on Whoracle and Jester. I know I know shut up. I generally think that Inflames opening songs are usually their weakest songs on the album. I actually noticed that when i was loading my Ipod songs 2,3, and 5 were the songs I liked from almost every album.

:OMG: you have to be crazy. If it werent for Bullet Ride, i might not have gotton interested in In Flames.

^^^ That's because you like penis, lots and lots of penis. Everlost is DEAD on, and i was the youngest person when I saw exodus too... they were with Megadeth and how ignorant I was.... However Exodus had a fillin vocalist and sounded like balls, but I still moshed ferociously at age 13 to Toxic Waltz and War Is My Shepard(by far my favorite song by them, if you hadn't noticed)

Annihilator is cool and Human Insecticide is an amazing live track, but for some reason I never really differentiated them from the rest of the thrash pack. Which is why I like Testament better. For me the instrumentals from Testament overthrow the bounds of thrash metal much like Kreator does and it makes me want to hit repeat over and over again.

P.S. I found a band that sounds.... EXACTLY like Jester Race In Flames... For further information I will post later, because I happen to be in class posting and am not by my computer, therefore cannot comment further on the bands name or favorite songs. I listened to it for the first time yesterday, they are some sort of oriental i believe and it blew me away how similar it sounds.

Overkill.... Eh... As much as I appreciate their music there's just nothing about them that stands out. I have this feeling that Blitz just decided that his band was going to be thrash as it was in its beginnings, and would stay that way until they perished, and therefore they continue the style of music that was old years ago, and maintain a fan base completely pigeon-holed into reliving oldschool thrash.

Even My Sweet Shadow is an absolute Traveshamockery compared to the entirety of Colony/Clayman/Whoracle/Jester Race. I hate that I like that song because it's the best they have nowadays, because in the past I wouldn't have given it the time of day to listen to it after i ripped open the plastic.

In the meantime, Wintersun calls to me.:kickass: :kickass:

but so do the ladies. Now on to something relevant. Jeff Waters of Annihilator just never seems to run outta riffs which i think is awesome for basically a one man band and his hired tour mates. Hes had a lot of great guys in the band though Randy Black( Primal Fear), Curran Murphy( Nevermore) , Joe Comeou( Liege Lord, Overkill)

Sodom, Kreator, and Destruction are rumored to be doing a tour together in the near future. I hurt all over already.

Overkills best was Years Of Deacy, Elimination is the quintessential thrash track and best represents what the band was about.

Sweet Shadow rocks because of its sugary gay homo erotic opening riff. I love it.

Wintersun is suppose to have a new album coming out soon. Or so I thought.

:OMG: you have to be crazy. If it werent for Bullet Ride, i might not have gotton interested in In Flames.

But see there were 5 albums before that though and thats why Im sworn to hate you now. Just kidding.....Or am I??? I got into the band right before the release of Colony. I heard a small snippet of Embody the Invisible one month or so before it came out on a metal review site and almost tinkled in my pants. Yes, I said tinkle havent you ever heard a grown man say tinkle!?!?!?

The chances of Kreator/Sodom and the like coming to colorado are next to none, which is where i live, so shitty. i suppose i wouldnt mind taking a roadtrip but at some point school should come into play.

Curran Murphy is the shit and so is nevermore, Seven Seals from Primal Fear is a pretty shitty album though, aside from the first three tracks. Yeah I've heard most of Overkill's stuff but they never really changed, which is good in a lot of ways but kind of shitty in a lot of ways as well.

Sweet shadow is no good and I hate In Flames. That's final, I've given up and you have talked me into it. They can blow me, and have lost my respect completely. Anders can take his Wizard of Oz socks and his red tie and go to hell, maybe the Devil will make him listen to his own terrible music nonstop for the rest of eternity.

Wintersun shoud come up with a new album soon, and hopefully it sounds just like Battle against time, that track is the shit.

Go Buy a Suidakra CD

+1 I can't agree more on what you said. He doesn't even give a shit about his real fans. What the hell is wrong with him?

I see your sig has some Behind Space in it, good shit good shit. If they would have stopped releasing CD's after Jester Race I would have been a lifetime fan, honestly. Oh well, Anders wants to evolve when their sound already was evolved, and he's just turning himself more and more metalcore and getting closer to emo. What can we do but sit back and wonder why.

Chances are they will do some Raffi covers soon for his kids, and it will be called In Flames sings the Baby Balooga Classics.

+1 to you too, however they took away raep so nothin I can do...

Oh, and go buy a Rage CD, they lost Turiana and need your support.:kickass: :kickass:

Hell yeah! :kickass: Old In Flames owns, especially Lunar Strain, tracks like Upon an Oaken Throne, In Flames, and Clad in Shadows are godlike.

Same here! Untill Clayman I'd be a lifetime fan.

haha don't forget Elton John covers. :heh:

The fuckers kicked out Johan and Glenn because they wanted to change style, while Glenn and Johan wanted to be in the same direction as The Jester Race and Whoracle. I wish if they stayed! :erk:

Seriously, *radio insert* next up is the new In Flames single, their cover of Kelly Clarkson's Since You've Been Gone. :kickass: :kickass: MEHHTUULLL UP YOUR ASSS!!! *end radio insert*

The first three albums In Flames put out could be put on repeat and entertain me for an entire road trip. Their last few albums have been put in the cd player in my bathroom when I am constipated, to induce diahhrea of course...

They kicked Glenn and Johan out because Glenn and Johan wouldn't participate in the daily fuck n' suck Anders had the band go through to promote band unity. Maybe they make less money, but at least their butts are still virgins.

ANYWAYS, Go pick up a Blood Stain Child album, or get it off of AlbumBase or another downloadable album site, any way you get it go get it, their new shit sounds JUST like Jester Race In Flames, and I love it. They may be from Japan, but they got their shit togetther.

um...Johan was never kicked out. He met a girl either online or at a show and moved in with her-I think she was from the US.

Then how was he in Dimension Zero back in 1998/1999/whatever?

I don't recall Johan being in Dimension Zero. The old line up was,if i have it right:

Jocke-Vocals
Jesper-Guitar
Glenn-Guitar
Hasse-Drums

I came in the conversation late,so I could be totally wrong with everything. But there's only one way to solve this problem, and that's to email Jocke.

Why email Jocke? Ask him about what?

Aren't you all asking about why Johan was supposedly kicked out the band? And if he was ever in Dimension Zero? Jocke would know, that's kinda why i mentioned him. anyways....back on subject.

People like to complain about In Flames, or any other band that evolves, changes their sound, whatever. But then again, you guys wouldn't like it if every IF album sounded the same, now would you?

I didn't mean about Johan being in Dimension Zero, I meant Glenn. But I really would like to ask him questions, where do I get his email from?

Does The Jester Race and Whoracle sound the same? I meant keeping the same style (melodic death metal). The change of music from Whoracle to Colony is completely normal. But Reroute To Remain - and what follows it - is just too much.

ok,that's settled :) As far as Jocke's email,it's not hard to find,but I can't give it out.

As far as song structure and melody goes, yes, the Jester Race and Whoracle sound the same. Understandable, yes it's different, but it can't be sellout-ish since they really didn't upgrade on the amount of money they've made. The switch to Ferret Records wasn't to go emo or scene or anything like that,it was to make their albums more accessible to people instead of buying it online, and to give them better deals for concerts. Their contract with Nuclear Blast ran out, then NB decided not to resign them.

I understand that they did go a little soft, but it wasn't to make more money,it's most likely due to life-changing events in their lives.

Oh come on. Just send me a PM please. :)

Not really. They're quite different, especially the vocals.

Let them change to any record company they want, I don't give 2 shits. What I care about is the music.

Aha, I doubt it. :heh:

EDIT: quote problems.

Nope:) Here's a hint, though. Go on my dimension zero myspace page, one of the bands I have on the top 24 has Jocke in it. Look there.

Eh,I disagree

But what record label is going to get you that music faster?

Aha, I doubt it. :heh:

What, you'd be different too if you just had a kid

EDIT: quote problems.

that's ok.
