does anyone know some good sites for trad/trad doom? i'm especially looking for active message boards (a la hellride, shadow kingdom before it basically died, corroseum when it was still around, etc), seems like those are all vanishing though. in their absence, i'm still looking for sites that are devoted to this stuff, maybe have reviews, news, that kinda thing.

Hellride is active in its doom releases/reviews (Just did Gallow a few weeks back) but that's all I know..I think online metal communities have died throughout the net

yeah, i like hellride although it has a penchant for the stoner side of things which i don't generally care for. their doom community is sound and mostly trad-oriented, but again seems to be slowly decreasing in activity. i guess i don't help by just lurking instead of posting, but there ya go

I used to lurk The Corriseum community but it consisted of too many dull discussions about matrix numbers so I lost interest. Maybe I'll revisit it now that it's resurrected.

I love it, but not many people here seem to dig it. You can really chart the progression from the first tape at the beginning of last year through to the two new tracks on this comp.

Terminus have posted a track from their upcoming debut here. This will undoubtedly be my album of the year.

might've been mentioned already but the new ironsword song is promising. the mid-section with the necropolis vibe and the solo is gorgeous, i wish manilla road would go back to this kind of simplicity.

That's not exactly a new song...it's from their 2013 album. I think Barbarian Wrath is just doing a remastered version. But holy shit, what is going on with that drum production?
