What are death/black metal concerts like?

Augusto Pinochet seized power from the democratically elected socialist government of Chile on September 11th 1973 in a violent CIA supported coup. He ruled the country until 1990 and was responsible for attrocities and crimes against humanity.

In the first months following the coup, Pinochet's regime held 250,000 political prisoners, including socialists, trade unionists, pro-democracy campaigners and their sympathisers. Under his rule, arbitrary military executions and "disappearances" - where people were kidnapped by the secret police, tortured and murdered - became commonplace.

His regime is thought to have been responsible for at least three thousand such disappearanced as well as the routine torture of political prisoners including electric shock torture and rape.

It is known fact that all the power established in south america (most are/used to be dictatorships) have been put there by the US gov. The only people right now who are brave enough to stand up and not let the US stomp all over their country are Castro and Chavez. Main reason the US isn't saying shit to Chavez is because of Venezuela's black gold $$$. Well 2005 will be a fun year see you in Iran for the fireworks. :D

I've always seen racism as ridiculous. Leaving all the politically correct bullshit aside for one moment, what's the difference between idiots fighting about race and idiots fighting about religion? If you're gonna fight about something, at least it should be meaningful.

And it's an eternal shame on Britain that that whore Thatcher sided with Pinochet. One of the main reasons why I refuse to consider myself as "British."

I love Pinochet because I hate commie scum. I want to push all of the protester morons out of a plane into the ocean, sans parachute. I'm glad communists finally got a taste of their own medicine.

Arguing about race isn't the same as arguing about religion at all. When black people, say, commit superhuman amounts of crime and are one of the main carriers of AIDS in America (they account for nearly a majority of the AIDS infections yet make up like 12% of the population), it's not at all unreasonable to argue about race. Even more so if you have 2-3+ million unskilled, uneducated non-White people coming into your country every year illegally the way America does. They don't even speak English and refuse to learn it. You deal with that and then see if you think racism is completely indefensible.

That's the tactic people like you want to use: make the topic so taboo and controversial that the shocking truth won't matter because no one will have the balls to speak up. What a rich, "diverse" society we're becoming.

sorry man but thats darn fucking stupid. like these premature dumbasses in france who held "i'm ashamed to be french" boards while manifesting stupidly because a nationalist party got to the second tour for the last presidential elections.

of course i respect you feraliminal :) i love you, you know that. and i dont see why i should get all enoyed about what you said, just a difference in opinion.

Hey, we've got pretty high levels of immigration too. In Westminster the parties are battling it out to see who can have the hardest line on the issue. In Hollyrood we have a more sensible approach because we have the Liberal Democrats in coalition and strong Green and Socialist contingents.

We're actively encouraging immigration in Scotland because we have a declining population, a falling birthrate and a looming pensions and services crisis.

As for making a subject "taboo" I think you'll find I said something about leaving all the political correctness bullshit to one side.

Well you see the point with immigration is that if you get alot of foreigners which get alot of children while the scots dont get any, soon there isnt gonna be a scotland anylonger. Also, if youre a scot, how can you relate so much to a Saxon like Margaret Thatcher and reject your british identity, which I dont see why you have taken up anyway because youre a scot. If I were scottish I'd hate the English and refuse to call me anything but scottish.

oh shit yes your scottish, so its normal that you dont wanna be called english.. but you shouldnt not want to be english just cause of Thatcher, but cause your simply not english.. your scottish. but its for you to figure that out i guess, but technically, celts and germanics are totally different people.
for the immigration bullshit, in france our celtic region which is Brittany is being invaded like hell cause the government wants to respect the quota of how many immigrants there should be in every region, to equalize the whole territory... isnt that stupid? not only its idiotic, its also very racist to these immigrants who are thrown anywhere like cattle. but the worst in my opinion is that it violates a certain cultural uniqueness brittany has, a rich culture which would be nice to preserve.

You know, homosexuals have their own language? Yeah, they speak gay-lic. get it? Yeah, I know. Lame joke.

Why would someone deny their English heritage? I know Irish/Welsh people who deny being welsh because "The red hand of ulster controversy", but it isnt really relevant nowadays. It wouldnt make a difference who's land it is, the Catholics and protestants get along now. And killing innocents brits isnt they way to get your....gah im going off on a rant.

I don't consider myself British for a number of reasons.

For one thing I'm an anarchist so "nationality" to me means no more than a certain cultural identity.

I also believe that the Scottish/Celtic legacy has at least as strong an influence on our culture than events which happened after the Union, but I know that's a debatable point.

And possibly most importantly, "British" has connotations that I don't wish to associate myself with. The British committed a string of attrocities right across the Empire. That's not something I want to be identified with.

And back to the topic.. I mostly listen to death metal and every single concert/festival I attend I'm more or less wasted.. I barely remember anything, but that's part of the fun.. For me at least, it keeps the intrest whilst some other people complain about concerts that once you've seen them once, you've seen it all.

Same thing with me. Except I'm american and I know that's a lot more contemptible.

Anyway gatting a little back on topic, people at shows are cool. I live in New Jersey which has a huge hardcore following. I don't mind it much but those fuckers in the pits think they are the shit and then get pissed when you bump into them and fuck up their little kungfu dancing. Point is hardcore pits are secretly for pussies.

That said I'm going to see Cryptopsy and Cattle Decapitation in a month. I was wondering what type of crowd Cryptopsy would draw in Canada. Somehow I think Cattle Decap is going to draw the bigger crowd over by me.

No offence...but hardcore sucks...thats just my opinion....Play Viking/Death/Black metal, or dont play at all...that also, just my opinion. Except Danzig...newer Danzig is more along the lines of a Heavy Metal. Iluciferi is a good album...I bought it used for $11 Cdn....or 15c american....

I respect your opinion, but you have to be a little specific with that term. Are you talking 80's hardcore like Dayglo Abortions, SNFU and Nip Drivers; or nu hardcore a.k.a. metalcore techmetal crap like The postal Service and Floorpunch?
