Well here's another useless thread, I'm just curious to know what everybody else's parents do for a living, mine do scientific research for the national university and give classes on medicine and psychology (I'm their biggest failed experiment ) so come on people

My mom is a senior consultant in an IT firm.

My birth mother: No clue, she left my father when I was very small.
My step-mom: Sells life insurance
My step-dad: Auto Mechanic
My Dad: Credit Manager (fancy name for a pencil pusher or one that yells at people all day to collect money)

they've worked with all sorts of things, from travel agencies and airports and whatnot. My mom is currently a teacher, my dad's unemployed but used to have a pretty good job at Silja Line (ferries doing the Sweden-Finland route... they closed all the offices up in the north :-/ )
And me... I'm looking forward to becoming a loser.

My father does work related to the government oil industry. Not out on the oil rigs though, more like in the business district, managing and forcasting statistics, etc.. Really, I'm not sure exactly what he does, but I surely wouldn't be able to do it. :/

My mom works in food services at the hospital. Yeah, her advice to everyone is: don't eat the food; it really is sick. Duh.

i just got a job, phone customer care for an american phone company. and it IS as bad as it sounds but at least soon my monthly income will increase from -20 to... much more

I don't know about the hospital your mom works at, but I really love hospital food when I was sick. Best food ever!
