My wife doesn't understand my obsession and passion for what she calls "rawr rawr music". But she has heard Damnation and all their other prog/mellow stuff, and she LOVES it! She even had me make her a CD. Her favorite Opeth tunes are Atonement, Patterns II, and Coil.

My wife tolerates it & actually likes parts that have clean vox.

She's also joined me for 5 or 6 Opeth concerts, so kudos for that.

That being said, she'd never play any Opeth music on her own time.

My wife didnt want to go to the Opeth concert because of the growling vocals but I managed to drag her to see Fantomas 3 times and she said she enjoyed it, so I dont know what the deal is. Maybe next time.
