What is your reason for long hair?

Somehow I would think that it is almost mandatory for a metalhead to have long hair IMO ... the only reason that the only front part of my hair is long and the sides and back is short is cuz I'm really wondering if the manga style haircut look that good in real life.

Yeah playing a short guitar would look pretty wierd :zombie: I'd rather keep my hair short and not look horrible, which I would, than grow it out just to be more metal.

A few reasons:

1. It looks better.
2. No one does it around here... I'm one of two guys in my school with long hair.
3. Headbanging.
4. To piss my brother off... lol.
5. It feels better, and is more fun to play with.

Those are all the reasons I need.

I just cut my hair to midway my back. I could sit on it! I wanted to see how long it would grow but it's just to hard to take care of at the length.

I had long hair until I had to go to the army and cut it. Now I'm trying to grow it back, since my girlfriend really liked it when it was long. (She likes my current hairstyle too, but says she misses the longer look.) So, in my case, it's all about the girl.

Originally I grew it for the attitude as much as individuality and - surprise! - for the girls.

I Love long hair, BUT I do have to admit that SOME guys don't look good w/it.. mostly cuz they don't take care of it. Like I hate it when it looks like they never wash it..Yuck!! That yuck greesy look.what are they thinking?

I agree with you...Long hair is truly beautiful when it is clean and brushed no matter who you are. I have friends with both long and short and I luv'em all....Its really cool when you see some guy with long hair in a business suit or something, totally unexpected, non comforming.
With my hair I have it long for a few years, then I cut it to chin length for awhile; then long again. Right now its about 3 inches below my shoulders... and I like it.

didnt wanna start a new thread but this is my dilemma. I am tired of my hair, its curly in the back, gets knotted very easy, takes a long time to dry, and is at times very hard to manage. tommorow something will be done. Either cut it or trim it. I dont know, im leaning towards cut. what you guys think?

Go the buzz cut, shave it off..i think very short/no hair is as sexy as long hair on a man. Not everyone was blessed with perfect silky straight hair, and theres alot of people who just dont suit it being long.

In your case I'd probably say cut is shorter, but not like a buzz cut short. So I guess trim it, but trim it short. Actually, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I have silky straight hair and I wave it whenever I can. It gets a bit wavy if I dry it without a dryer and when it does, I'm haaaapppyyy

Anyone ever gotten hair extensions? preferably the monofilament type that dont damage ur own hair..i would consider them if they werent so damn expensive lol.
