Who "also" hates Hip Hop???

I like "California Love", but is it even considered tr00 hip-hop?

NO.

that is easily Tupac's most overrated and commercial song ever.

I will recommend some good Tupac songs: Me Against the World, Life Goes On, I Aint Mad At Cha, Troublesome '96, Lord Knows, To Live and Die in L.A., and So Many Tears will make you cry!

Immortal Technique- Internally Bleeding

The things I've seen in life will make you choke by suprise
Like an aborted fetus in a jar that opened it's eyes
Provoking my demise, I'll leave your spirit broken inside
Like the feeling of 50 million people hoping you'd die
And niggaz wonder why my heary is filled of hatred an anger
Cause some bitch killed my first born song with a coat hanger
I strangled out the pain until my soul was empty was cold
Crippled and worthless, so I thought that it could never be sold
My mother told me that placing my faith in God was the answer
But then I hated God cause he gave my mother cancer
Killing us slow like the Feds did to the Blank Panthers
The genesis of genocide is like a Pagan religion
Carefully hidden, woven into the holidays of a Christain
I had a vision of nuclear holocaust on top of me
And this is prophecy, the words that I speak from my lungs
The severed head of John the Baptist speaking in tongues
Like "Cheke vara" my soliloquies speak to a gun
Paint in slow motion like trees that reach for the sun
Nigga the preaching is done cause I don't got a DJ
Like Reverond Run, I curse the life of any man who kills
Benevolent ones, I never asked to be the messenger
But I was chosen to speak the words of every African slave
Dumped in the ocean, stolen by America
Tortured, buried, and frozen written out of the history books
Your children are holding, internally bleeding, cold blooded
Stripped of emotion, I go through the motions, but there's no
Life in my eyes, it's like I'm hooked up to a respirator
Waiting to die, hooked up to the fucking chair
Waiting to fry, sooth an electrocution currently used
In my execution, producing thoughts at the speed of light
Burning confusion, I'm loosing my sight, breathing is tight
The evening is white, I made my peace with the Lord and now I
Stand on his right..

Death is a another part of life..
These are my last words, I'm having difficultly breathing
Dying on the inside, internally bleeding
Angel of death dragging me away while I'm sleeping
Watching my world crumble in front of me, searching for meaning
These are my last words, I'm having difficultly breathing
Dying on the inside, internally bleeding
Angel of death dragging me away while I'm sleeping
Watching my world crumble in front of me, searching for meaning

This is among the very good stuff

Public Enemy are fucking amazing. If there's one hip hop group I would expect extreme metalheads to at least respect, it's Public Enemy. There's a reason Anthrax collaberated with them.

"NO." ? hahahahaha

Who cares if it is commercial ? You think Me Against the World, Life Goes On, I Ain't Mad at Cha and To Live and Die in L.A. are not ?
Can you even explain how these songs are any less commercial than California Love ? What's funny is that all the songs you've listed are actually much more poppy musically that California Love.

nah

California Love sucks! I remember hearing "California Love" blaring out the speakers at my local County Fair, although I thought it was a little awkward, nobody batted an eye. However, I don't think any other Tupac song would have worked in that situation. That song, along with some of Tupacs later offerings is very commercial, unlike say "To Live and Die in LA", it has a constant looped "beat" from Dr. Dre who also contributes some lame rhymes, also this song has fucking digitized vocal samples!!!! Also if you know anything about Tupac, he actually stopped working with Dr. Dre because Dre is such a poseur, and eventually recorded the much cooler "To Live & Die in LA" which includes a diss aimed at Dr. Dre...

All of the songs I've mentioned have much more to offer and actually have some emotion and aren't something you would likely hear on a movie soundtrack or something but not necesarily the only good ones, as most of 2pac's music is quality...

There would have been no Tupac, had there been no NWA and Dr Dre in the first place. Pac recorded California Love not very long before he died. Where do you get your "things that anyone who knows anything about 2pac" from, Wrath?

huh????

Tupac started out with Digital Underground. He later on signed with Death Row and was working with Dr. Dre and Snoop, but his music definitely suffered a bit. Everyone knows that Tupac had beef with Dr. Dre, he even calls him out on "To Live and Die in L.A." and other songs...

Digitized vocal samples ? Lol, that would be the late Roger Troutman from Zapp and Roger fame, performing on the talkbox - of which he is the master.
The talkbox is one of the staples of P-Funk influenced West Coast gangsta rap.

It has a constant looped beat ? Yes, just like To Live and Die in LA.

Some of 2pac's best songs are on movie soundtracks by the way.

Either way, I don't like mainstream music, and Califnornia Love is a gay.....ahem......mainstream song.
