Why is it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to have a relatively mature conversation on this forum, without someone trying to put another down?

Because there are no rules to adhere to, and thus, no one can really do anything about it and people are allowed to keep screwing with each other because there are no rules imposed on them.

Perhaps we should turn this place into a dictatorship in which the moderators can remove any threats to its peace. That's really the only solution.

If someone wants to listen "complicated" music just because it's almost impossible to play, even if it sounds like shit, then it's their loss. And if they get kicks out of it when they promote that music to their friends and gets the: "whoa are they really playing that? Yeah, some Floridian stuff would be easy to learn if you've had experience. I'm learning intermediate DM now like Cannibal Corpse from The Bleeding, I've been playing 8 months though.

Um... why does it matter if it is difficult or easy to play? I've seen numerous times where you go on about how great metal is because its so difficult to play... as if that qualifies it as being good. Who cares? The only thing that matters is if the music is good, not whether it is difficult.
