Worst metal albums of all time

Or even, the members of Slipknot that aren't Corey Taylor or Joey Jorrdison (did I even spell it right?) have probably never heard the saying "A little talent never hurt."

Allan Holdsworth

:notworthy

Holdsworth might have been on some shrapnel releases but he was never a "shrpanel guy" (and to say so is even more outlandish than considering Bumblefoot one).

Also, Johansson's albums were only licensed to Shrpanel for US release, they're normally released on his own Heptagon records (which have much better album covers too!).

Ayreon - The Universal Migrator Part I

...closely followed by all the other Ayreon albums and Star One. Yes I've heard all of them, and yes I love progressive metal.

That's right, I don't like Ayreon. I dislike all the albums pretty much equally, but especially universal migrator part 1 because of its ludicrous intro. The worst part is that it's not even all bad in fact some bits are legendary, but Lucassen seems to mix inspired genius with terrible, terrible mistakes. I don't care how many big names you get to perform, that doesn't make it good.

I love Stream of Passion and Ambeon is very good too.

Although I make no apology for my preference, I don't think I've ever met anyone else who has heard but not liked Ayreon :(

I always thought into the electric castle was fairly abysmal. I actually agree... ayreon is very hit or miss, though hardly terrible IMO. But i agree, though there are moments that are godly (day 20 on human equation never fails to bring tears to my eyes), there are also plenty of WTF moments.

Tubbs, i'd say not so much ayreon the band is like that, but more each album. again, i love migrator pt 2, hate into the electric castle, love (for the most part) human equation... he is so diverse from album to album that for me it's hard to say i like the band. It's more which albums i like.

I dunno, the first time I listened to them I couldn't stand them. Same for the second time. After the third, I finally got into Ayreon, and now I like all of the albums. Also, Actual Fantasy is one of my favorites, which probably isn't too common.
