This is way off-topic so I'm sure it'll get deleted
BUT I think I heard the worst solo ever this morning.
My wife and I were in the car and we were listening to the radio and I found a song from Night Ranger called "Sister Christian". I *had* to listen to it for amusement's sake but then I heard the solo. wow. So incredibly bad. I somehow never noticed it before.
Anybody heard this?
I bet at least a couple of you guys are old enough to remember when it came out. Risquit?

another really really bad performance was jake lee (or whoever it was) doing "working man" on the rush tribute album of the same name. i know that's an obscure reference but it's extremely bad.

i got that sister christian song, d2, and while the song and solo suck..i can say i've heard worse. what you may ask? well i don't know right now, but maybe i'll think of something.

I believe that was Brad Gillis playing that solo. From what I keep hearing from people he's actually very good and invented some type of way to use the tremelo bar that guys like Vai and Jeff Beck use quite often. Anywho, I have a solo album of his called Alligator that I never really bothered to listen to. I know he filled in for Randy Rhoads when he died and they recorded that crappy Speak of the Devil CD. I happen to like that particular Night Ranger song if only for cheesy amusement purposes. I can't say I remember the solo but then again the guitar playing wasn't very memorable either.

Speaking of Sepultura...Alexi Laiho did an absolutely terrible take of Andreas Kisser's excellent "Mass Hypnosis" solo in their cover...It was a downer, but oh well...both Sepultura and Children of Bodom are really gay nowadays.
