I post on the Maiden forum all the time and they never post. They read stuff from time to time but thats it.Being a longtime Opeth fan I think thats awesome and it only makes me like Opeth even more than I do if that's even possible. Coming from a fans standpoint that is a great thing to do. Being in a band myself, I would also do the same thing if my band had a forum lol, that shows us fans that he does care somewhat on what we have to say.(being that its not totally stupid )

It kinda sucks when you've been working your ass off making great music for 16 years and you come to your official forum to interact with some fans only to see them arguing and whining because one of your bandmates left and you had to replace them. I'm sure it was hard enough to figure out who he wanted to replace Lopez, he was a great drummer. Now he's got "fans" telling him he made the wrong decision before Axe even gets to show us what he's got?

I also think it's great that Mikael actually posts here. I was quite surprised when I first found out. But just as you said, it makes me like the band more, 'cause it makes me feel appreciated as a fan.

yeah I agree, IMHO Mikael knows what he is doing and he won't just get anybody to fill Lopez's shoes. I know Axe will do just fine people need to chill.Its hard when a longtime band mate quits or is asked to leave.I have been down that road many times.You just have to do what is good for the band and not just one person.

Yeah, it's definetly cool. I dont know any other "Bandmemberposters" than Mike and Katatonias Blakkheim.
Although he should definetly post more often... I mean everytime he posts the thread goes more intresting. People stop their whining and bitching and start writing like grown adults.

My balls personally fell to the floor when i saw mikael responded to my thread!(It's an appreciation thread and a request for a gig in israel.. i think it's on page 2 on the forums) I mean, an international band member, which I admire so much, having some free time to post at forums... It can't get better then this (and a personal reply! I know he probably doesn't remember my post personally seeing he answers a lot but it still means a ton to me)

I love opeth as a band, I love them as people, I love their music!:zombie: , I love the fact that mike responds at forums..

Even though you opened this thread to cover up over the axe incident, I still really agree that it's awesome! (I love this smiely)
