Announcing Steven Slate DELUXE METAL EX Pack

I am adding some SERIOUSLY f'ing cool features to our new Deluxe packs... you'll find out soon, but lets just say this.. you'll be able to get everything from a very natural sound to a very consistent metal sound, with the ability to customize and craft your own sounds with ease... Oh man... its gonna be cool as fuck. And fuck is cool.

Whats that? Devil Driver and Lamb of God emulations? Yeah we got that too. The DevilDriver will be fun, since the latest stuff (which thanks to Andy Sneap sounds amazing), is a hybrid of the real snare and one of the samples off of SSD Platinum. So it hopefully won't be too bad..

You HAVE to get some clips the very SECOND you are able to! :headbang::lol:

$49 bucks folks. For guys who don't own Platinum or LE, this will also expand EX $99

so, now I"m confused...Will EX come with the Slate player like LE does?

Is EX basically like LE with less kits (and in turn LE is like platinum but has less kits, correct)?

And, the metal pack will be an add on for EX, LE or Platinum, but will cost more to add to EX than it would LE?

Confusing. Seems like it would be able to understand easier if the website reflected these announcements so you can see/order/plan what fits you best.

Seems like advertising new stuff on a forum prior to your own website previewing these new features would be counter productive...You'd have to always be on the forums answering questions rather than referring people to the site, where the info would already be.

EDIT
Also, does the Slate site look funky to anyone else? When I go there, I see the header graphic, but you have to scroll down through a full screen of black background to get to the site content.

EX is 10 kits with the Player. LE is 20 kits with the player, but will be discontinued. Platinum is 40 kits with the player.

DELUXE will be $49 for EX, but there will be rebates for current LE and Platinum users.

There are 3 Deluxes.

We'll have everything up on the page soon, but I always tell the guys in this forum stuff first because I get great suggestions, feedback, and ideas during the development process. When I reveal the new concepts for customizing sounds in Deluxe, you'll reallize that it came from listening to people HERE.

Page should be fine in all updated browsers as was said.

I am interesting it getting these packs for the gog samples alone. Will these have gog samples? Also is there an update price of 3.0LE to the platnium edition. I don't program drums, but have just used the LE samples for a band I am recording at the moment and they sound great.

We're going to have an easy audio to midi solution, where you'll be able to use the virtual instrument as a drum replacer. IF we were to make GOGs for deluxe, in order to acheive the same sound as the instrument, you'll need to copy the snare onto four tracks! One mono for the close mics, one stereo for overheads, another stereo for room mics, another stereo for reverb samples... It'll be a mess.

Our audio to midi solution will be quicker and easier.

BTW, we just got done recording the DELUXE rock and METAL snares, plus some other goodies which I'll announce soon. All I can say is, its my proudest work yet. You'll hear it soon. I've had my ears on many of the requests on this forum, and the METAL DELUXE pack will deliver, as will the the rock and vintage deluxe..

Also Plat and LE users, keep in mind, 3.5 will improve the sound and playability of the current collection by a LOT!! stay tuned.
