The encoding is shit but from what I can tell, the mix is probably going to be pretty cool. I like the SM7 on Angela's vox... sounds more natural/up front than on other albums to my ears.

The song rules! I'd expect nothing less from this band.

Ok, so I've been listening to Anthems again, and I seriously think the drums on here are like the best that Andy has done, even Doomsday doesn't blow me away anymore like Anthems does. Oh, and I hate Andy for getting those sounds, and making me drool over them so much

Edit: For anyone who hasn't heard much of Anthems, I cut part of Dehumanization, the toms are just like omg lol.

Why MUST it be a 6L6 setup? Maybe the XXX had EL34's to compliment the 6L6 setup of the 5150?

From the video with Angela it appears to be an Engl, a 5150, and Randall, But I am not positive.

Also Anthems Drum sound DOES slay. My favorite Arch Enemy production fo sho'

I have a few album samples that are from like a Japanese copy, and the production is the same,
I personally think the guitar sound is a little odd. it hurts me ears.

One of the lads here at work has a press promo.....we lasted 3 tracks before I turned it off due to ear fatigue.

My god....it sounds like it's been smashed to bits. No idea if I liked the songs or not as I couldn't get past how harsh it sounds. I'm just glad I'm not the one writing the review!

agree ive heard a couple of songs of the new album
its sounds lets just say not so good and thats both the song writting
and production ?
the production especially shocked me the snare drum is totally lost !
the guitars r totally out of control def not a tight tone going on here
some kinda horrid high mid range weirdness here
ach its just horrible and i like this band but i wont be buying this one !
