Well folks it's a little over 24 days till the blessed event, the Pilgramage to the holy land of metal. I was wondering, On what day and at what time is everyone arriving so maybe we can meet up at the airport, and maybe go out to Midtown together.

My daughter and I arrive:

Wednesday at 2:50pm American Airlines:worship:notworthy:worship:

wed. 7pm Air Tran. Last year I booked an early flight with an early check in. flight got bumped 2 hrs. early so I got their in the pouring rain about 6 am. hotel would not let me check in so I slept on their sofa in the breakfast room. finally let me check in at 10am. This year I booked a noon flight, then of course Jon Oliva was announced... it should all work out fine.:p

I'm arriving from Phoenix on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. on US Airways. Although given that this flight has a 40-50% on time record, I'd say that's pretty optimistic...

OH MY GOD your flying USELESS AIRWAYS, you don't want to hear my horror story from the weekend of july 27, to make a long story short I was supposed to arrive in El Paso from Atlanta at 9:00pm, well I got home at 4:00am after going to Phx, then Las Vegas and Denver. Hope you have better luck.

Yes, be careful with this airline. DemonOfTheWoods and myself, on our trip to St. Paul for FotV, were supposed to arrive in MSP airport at 10:30 am on a Friday morning and did not arrive there until 11 pm that night after having to go to Philly and Dallas, due to all kind of fuck-ups from the US Airways staff members ... not to mention that they didn't tell us that they canceled our planes booked home that Monday. Needless to say, when we got to the airport Monday morning to find out we were going to have to deal with another full-day of their incompetence we were not pleased at all. (If you're really interested in torturing yourself with the details, I can PM you the 5 page letter  I wrote to their customer service team.)

As for our arrival times - probably the same time as Sonata Arctica's. :D
The drive typically takes 12 hours from Baltimore, but this year we will be starting out an hour south in Springfield, VA, leaving right after the Sonata show at Jaxx. We'll be stalking ... ahhhem errr ... I mean escorting them :saint:  on their drive south after the show and hope to treat them to breakfast Thursday morning. We'll probably arrive at the Grenada between 11 am and 1 pm depending on number of stops and if we hit any bad traffic (which we typically don't).

I'm coming in from Philly on USAir on Wed. I'll be landing at 1:40 (or so they say :)

Yes, USAir is my hub airline in Philly, so I fly them a lot. Yes, they suck. Yes, I almost never check bags if I can avoid it. Still, I'll be there!

Steve in Philly

I'm flying in from St. Louis Thursday night from a business trip. Trying to get out of there as soon as i can. I will be a little rushed but getting my company to pay for my PP airfare rocks :headbang: Nobody start without me

Driving from Athens. I should be there a couple hours before the door opens. I'll be wearing my fraternity letters (Phi Mu Alpha), so I won't be hard to spot :)
