This BM troll is definitely someone from the old days having fun. I have been away too long and don't give a shit enough to guess who but that is my belief. As far as discussing BM goes, I agree. I don't even care, out of all the genres in metal I PERSONALLY like, most black metal is so far down on the list it is neighbours with grindcore and that pig squealing shit. I don't care if a person truly has a preference for BM over other music but really, I don't understand where all the Burzum love comes from, I really don't. Not saying the band sucks (I mean I think they do but if you like them whatever), but please enlight me...

It really shouldn't bother anyone, I bet 80% of the kids you see in Burzum shirts really listen to it, and are wearing it for the "0mg I'm so tr00" factor. Get really fucking ripped, like, REALLY fucking ripped, put Filosophem or Det Som Engeng Var, and play through Half Life 2, Stalker, Fallout3, anything dark and post-apocalyptic. A fucking fun way to spend a hangover sunday

Burzum sucks in its own right, but there's good songs too. Dimmu on the other hand is one of the most boring bands in the universe. It's like the McDonalds, like Dragonforce of black metal.

Srsly, even if most BM fandom (like any fandom) sucks, there's good BM music around. For me that includes neither Dimmu nor Burzum.

ITT: Lulz and lack of discussion of many bands that EVERY black metal fan (both the minimalistic AND the symphonic) should like.

No mention anywhere of Immortal, Gorgoroth, or Marduk, who have all released excellent albums just in the last month. I definitely recommend them.
