Bands you use to hate, but now like!

This will sound hella shallow but WAY back when, I hated Accept for bashing on Motley Crue. Man was I wrong. Now I love Accept and almost never listen to Crue.

I also hated Slayer for bashing on Metallica. Oh how the tides have turned.

Yay for opinions being formed by Hit Parader and Metal Edge magazines!

I used to not be so fond of Turisas because of their over-use of the trumpet on the 'Battle Metal' album, though now 'The Vagnarian Way' fixed that. It may just have been a lingering first impression...

It doesn't matter what genre the Dave Matthews Band is, since they just aren't good. I'd like to see anyone explain to me why I'm wrong, too.

If your a drummer, or appreciate any type of musicianship outside of the metal realm, then maybe you would understand. But I know why people hate bands like that, because they are happy and popular. Once you pull your head out of your ass and grow up, you learn to respect many different musical artists.

The problem with a lot of members on these forums is that they are completely ignorant when it comes to stuff that isn't metal.

I was oversaturated with bands like DMB and Jack Johnson when I was in high school. That's all I fucking heard and I hated it. It's yuppie crap. Luckily, I don't hear it much anymore, but I still really hate it.

Jack Johnson is such an overrated singer-songwriter. Elliott Smith is much better.

I could not stand 99% of brutal death metal for a while. I like about 30% now.

I used to hate Metal Church, Metallica, and Anorexia Nervosa but now I think all of them are freakin awesome (except new Metallica that stuff never got to me)! Those are the only examples I can come up with.

I hated Cannibal Corpse once, Tomb of the Mutilated in particular cause I thought the growls were crappy and didn't sound good, but strangely, now I love the growls.
