Bands you use to hate, but now like!

Nevermore

I didn't hate them, but I was indifferent the first time I heard them. It was Dead Heart in a Dead World. I put the CD away and didn't play it again for maybe up to a year, until I had decided to listen one last time before selling it. I was blown away, and love Nevermore now.

I'll have to check out Nevermore. The main thing I heard that people complain about when they talk about the band is that the vocalist is really annoying.

I'll have to hear for myself. I do have a high tolerance for all sorts of vocals in metal, what bugs me sometimes is when they don't go well with the music.

Yeah, Dead Heart rules. Enemies of Reality, also killer.

Warrel Dane is an amazing vocalist. It's not like he has a weird, non-musical voice. It must just be a preference thing with people. He fits the music perfectly.

Dead Heart in a Dead World.

Just find that song River Dragon (Maybe it's called The River Dragon Has Come). What an amazing song. The whole album is awesome!

The River Dragon has Come has the best solo ever written tbqh, but Dead heart is my #2 album, Neon Black is flawless. The only album I cant really get into is their S/T and I find their latest their weakest...so many people find that their favorite, idk whats up wit dat shit

What should be the first Nevermore album to listen to? Been meaning to check them out, but don't really know where to start. Their myspace stuff is pretty good though.

except that warrel dane is fucking amazing

The only song I've heard with his voice on it is a really boring cover of "Lucretia My Reflection" from his solo album. My friend sent it to me because of how incredible mediocre and uninteresting it is compared to the original. He's a really average singer in my opinion. Nothing really special about him.
