Too many albums I still need to hear. My new years resolution is always to keep up with new releases, but I always fail miserably.

Sabaton, Axel Rudi Pell, Pretty Maids, Immolation, Nevermore, Equilibrium, Nachmystium, Keep of Kalessin, Ordan Ogen and Kalmah have released quality albums this year. Still looking forward to new Keldian and Blind Guardian.

This year has been a disappointment relative to the last few. We've had a lower volume of quality releases so far. The albums that really do stand out for me are:

Bloody Sign - Chaos Echoes
Demontage - The Principal Extinction
Vomitor - Devil's Poison
Burzum - Belus
Ares Kingdon - Incendiary
The Wizar'd - Pathways Into Darkness
Triptykon - Eparistera Daimones

Honorable mentions go to Zuul - Out Of Time, Kerasphorus - Cloven Hooves At The Holocaust Dawn, and Darkthrone - Circle The Wagons.

First few listens of this, seems pretty good so far, it's mostly not all that thrashy, doesn't 'rock' as much as Heathen's latest, but is a bit more proggy and interesting overall. It might sneak into my top 10 of 2010 if it grows on me and the upcoming big name releases fail to deliver.
