COB start writing new album

I haven't listened to those rips because I wanted to wait for the official release, been quite frustrating reading all the good reviews thought!

Today I could finally listen to it, bought it on iTunes. It's a great song! Love the guitarwork, bit disapointed about the vocals, can't quite hear the lyrics, but as with alot of metalbands I can't hear it until after a few listens. From this song only I would say it's closest to HCDR. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!

Transference 7.5/10.:kickass:

Awesome, guitar tone is briliant , vocals again with passion, fast solos. Really FTR-ish sometimes.

Too bad keys are so hidden, they sounded awesome in Soundi clip.
Overall CoB back in shape, really can't wait for june :kickass:

I'm am the only one who wants to see the video? I feel this time we get a really good one with some scythes and shit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Janne clearly said in Roopes questions video that the MUSIC video is being released 26th of April along with the single?

Since it's 8pm now I'm starting to think that Janne maybe only meant the single is released today (which it was) and not the music video just yet. We'll see, I guess :P Hopefully soon either way.

EDIT: Decided to buy the single on iTunes, and damn it sounds so much better than the radio rip. The vocals really have a FTR-ish vibe at times, and especially the rhythm guitar reminds me of FTR as well.
To the guy complaining on the keys in the song, what are you talking about? They are crystal clear and you can hear them very well.

I'm also waiting for the video, the shots from the shooting were promising. My favourite videos so far are the two first ones plus the CCR cover, they've got a real feeling in them. I think the videos got lame as soon as the writers and other outsiders came to take over, even though the band shots have always looked great in videos (Needled 24/7, Are you dead yet?...).

If they were releasing the video wouldn't they release the video on iTunes at the same time as them releasing the single? Idk how it works. Anyway the song is pretty sick, that interlude before the solo..... :kickass:

New single Transference out now!

26 Apr 2013

The first single from the upcoming album “Halo Of Blood” has just been released via iTunes, and it has already hit #1 in Finland. Pre-order the album (incl. bonus track + digital booklet) and get the single “Transference” already now. Click here.

A video for the song has already been filmed and will be released later.

Alexi comments:
“Transference is a straight up CHILDREN OF BODOM to the core type song and therefore was a good pick for a video and obviously is one of our favorite tracks. It always had an evil vibe to it which I wish I knew how to explain because it still gives me chills… Enjoy!”

I don't really like the Bodom clips only the ones where i can clearly see the band playing, and its not over-complicated. Like Trashed, Lost & Strungout or Shovel Knockout(well they are not playing but hey its a good clip!). Everytime I Die is quite "interesting" and In Your Face is little bit fucked up with the bad effects, and Roundtrip to Hell and Back is weird with those snakes 'n stuff(blooddrunk the same).
I proudly say SKO is my favorite vid so far. We dont need a storyline for a music video...

I thought SKO was a really bad video. Such a cool song (my favorite from HCDR-RRF era) and all it got was some random tour footage. Could've been something like a dude running out from the city into a forest and getting smashed into the mud... by some dudes... with shovels.

Transference sounds really really good. Not sure if it tops SKO for me but it's real close. Surely the album as a whole will be amazing, the tone I've gathered from the two songs we have makes me certain.
