COB start writing new album

I'm too hyped by that info.
Seems a "serious" album with real deep meaning, love it.

Joonas or anyone, can you upload that pic with the working titles? It would be interesting to see or read.

From what i've got hypes from this album, it is pretty much definite that I have a new tattoo from this album. Previous was from rrthb. Sorry for the ones who hated it, for me it is a song with loads of relativity.

Just read the Soundi interview. Some interesting bits:

One of the working titles was In the Shadows 2012. .

i think its transference. it got that vibe in the intro.
dunno if he was mentioning another song. but anyway can u post the list of working titles you ve read? can u remember them?

Just read the Soundi interview. Some interesting bits:

Theme of the album is the suicides and deaths of friends whose lives ended too young. So that's the deep essence of Halo of Blood. Alexi describes it was self-therapy for him doing this album, dealing with the feelings related to friends lost to death, which explains the darkness of the album, together with the hard Finnish winter that we just endured. This is something I can relate to, having lost a close friend to suicide in shocking fashion. There's something near mythical about the blood of suicide, thus halo of blood... like a purpose deeper than bonds of flesh.

Two songs on the album deal with lake Bodom lyrically.

One of the working titles was In the Shadows 2012. There's a pic of all the working titles listed on the mag. Original title of the slow song seems to have been Drive with the Dead Man.

That's some pretty cool info. If you get a chance could you post the working title pics? The full interview I guess it's too much plus we don't get finnish, but the working titles would be great.

I like KTS, here is why: Ok it might not be as atmospheric as certain otehr CoB songs but KTS is just a solo madness to me its a milestone as a guitar player if you can play this song, I've played the guitar for 3,5 years now and when about 2 months ago i was able to play the song i was mindblown. and proud. what arcane mentions i disagree, i love the D-tuned songs ALOT more, C tuning is alexi's way of getting towards his lamb-of-god style music(which he likes) the Riffs in RRF SUCK its going more to some brootal music which sounds like it has stops in it after every note(which are PM's ofcourse, but not using triplets) then the atmospheric and melodic CoD which i prefer. RRF has NO melodies wich are refferable as a guitar player, THE ONLY THING good about RRF is the beauty of a solo put on "Ugly".
ok the so called "older bodom" people mention which imo is just the atmospheric one has sometimes more black-metal-ish riffs which are filled with long lines of pm's which are rythmicly seen less challenging but thats the genre. they started off with the idea of mixing black metal with melodics, as alexi stated in some interview somewhere whichh i cant be arsed with to look up. Bodom is about interludes, melodies and solo's imo, RRF may be very difficult, but whats the use if it has no good songs. Hate me! has the EASIEST riffs EVER and its one of the most liked by the fans... as a guitar player i want action and fun when playing.

I had these thoughts about "Old vs New" Bodom debate as well but you articulated my thoughts perfectly! :worship:

They sure are hyping up Bodom Blue Moon.

No, they're not. They just say there's a Bodom titled song again.

The article writer just claimed out of his ass that this album somehow is a return to 1st and 2nd album "form", whatever that means. And he said "old school fans who are waiting for something like Lake Bodom, there's Bodom Blue Moon". Like all we care is the song title. Only real info in this article was Alexi saying the last two weeks of recording were stressful, and that there's never enough time.

I do see that the songs Halo of Blood and Transference do share the spirit of the old days.
