controlling dreams

I tried twice to become lucid in dreams, even started doing a dream-journal (you know, like a diary) and generally acted weird during day-time to determine if I was awake or dreaming. It never worked while sleeping, though.

On sex and dreams: as far as I know you shouldn't get too excited in your lucid dream if you don't want to wake up.
