European or US thrash?

Which do you prefer, European thrash metal or American?

European thrash. It's generally heavier and more aggressive.

Kreator, Sodom, Destruction.

Exodus, Slayer, Blood Feast.

Exumer, Deathrow, Holy Moses.

Dekapitator, Flotsam And Jetsam, Forbidden.

Mekong Delta, Coroner, Messiah.

Hades, Hallows Eve, Whiplash.

Necrodeath, Protector, Onslaught.

It goes on, and on, and on. There's no clear victor as far as I'm concerned.

I've always thought it was kind of a silly question anyway, comparing one country's output to an entire continent's. The only reason I say American is cause A) Bay Area loyalty B) Overkill fucking owns everything.

Sure, but they did pretty well to keep up to each other. Besides, this thread is about preference, not comparisons.

ok, here is how i see this. american thrash has most of the big bands, however i think the euro scene all around is much better. not to take away from either one, because you can have thrash without exodus or kreator.

and i would not include dekapitator because they are a new band and really is just a throw back band that happens to kick major ass
