@ killbot-what are some good cybergrind bands? The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are twodeadsluts onegoodfuck and agoraphobis nosebleed

Gigantic Brain are my personal favourite, one of the most unique bands in metal. Also Ganglia aren't bad.

Yeah, but Im choosy about Sludge, as there's a whole stack of fucking losers who think ultimo-distortion= Teh WinnAr.

Crowbar, Eyehategod, Iron Monkey, Soilent Green, Acid Bath are the principle sludge bands I actually LIKE.

Crowbar and Acid Bath = :kickass:

Nu-metal? What the fuck?

Surely you mean the hardcore influence, as there is no nu-metal in them at all.

I don't like Dax's vocals or lyrics, and the music sounds too mainstream for me to like.

I'm very big into Euro. Speed now, and also Melodic attributes to the same genre (Sypmhony-X, Angra, Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, Helloween, Savage Circus, ect.)

My second favorite would have to be the early thrash metal bands like Anthrax and such (Why bother listing..) and of course the classical metal from the 'Metal Gods'.

Its not that I don't enjoy Death metal or like, it just isn't as appealing to me. Its usually the vocals.

I'm much more of a fan of the speed in metal and the crazy fast riffs. Basicly anything with speed and a little bit of organiziation in the guitar chords is passable in my book.

I mostly like neo classical/shred, power, and progressive metal. And a little bit of death and thrash sometimes.

Crowbar owns you Amarantus, and they own your car, house - indeed your whole life.

Listen to Odd Fellows Rest. Seriously. I mean seriously.

TwoDeadSluts?

Sounds like a cross between a prono and horror movie,

"House of a 1000 Naked Corpses"

My fave is death metal, followed closely by black metal and thrash (of the extreme Kreator/Sodom variety, not stuff like Megadeth and Testament). I also really like extreme doom metal. I generally prefer the extreme genres. I must admit, that I'm not much into the very early metal that closely resembles rock, as I do not like rock.
