Half way through the year - best album so far?

Tenhi's newest is one of my favorites of the year so far. Along with RUUN, Wolves in the throne room, Scott Walker, Paatos, Katatonia. a few others, but i cant remember exactly what came out this year.

NineFeetUnderground: yes, and it was a pointless accusation anyway...i don´t know, i was tired or something. I never mentioned that i actually do like the new paatos album... maybe that´s why my first post of this subject was seen as ironic.

being tired is a lame excuse for trying to justify your accusation of why id choose paatos on TOP of assuming that i have just gotten into them. such irony...of all bands.

I'm pretty much positive in saying ISIS' new album will be my favorite of the year... but of the ones I've heard I'd have to say Agalloch, Katatonia, Summoning, Mono, Zombi... fuck I don't even remember which albums came out this year.. Drudkh and Wolves in the Throne Room have impresssed me A LOT but I haven't listened to them quite enough to really put them up there yet, although just the last couple minutes of "Diadem..." alone are about enough to get it there.

Oh yes a new Isis album!
I was a bit disappointed by silende of another kind....I'm missing the jazzy stuff back in the timeloss days*g
The new Blackfield also sounds promising for a good 2006 release

Drudkh - Blood in Our Wells. Easily the best of the year. I can't believe almost no one here knows them.

Only topped by Agalloch. The Two best by far. Then Kayo Dot. Tool is good.Enslaved is sterile since ISA. The best is yet to come.

What's the hype with Shora here? Not that it's bad but there are many bands in the post-rock genre (let alone the other genres) that were and are far more interesting.

I've listened to the new muse album:black holes and revelations and i must say it's quite a disappointment...
there are some good tracks but mostly it's monotone doesn't have anything new and even boring at times.

Katatonia's great cold distance is standing as 2006 album of the year for me for now

Haha that album was terrible, i like a couple of their songs, but i didnt expect this album to be as bad as it is.

DTB - Synchestra
Ihsahn - The Adversary
The Butterfly Effect - IMAGO (Aussie Band) (My favourite album for the year)

Thats all i can think of atm, theres plenty more thou..

Drudkh is decent but misses my list by a mile. Glare of 1768 is a badass song though.
