I bought a new car (the "I wanna be like Gugs" thread)...

in the coming couple of days i'm going to attempt replacing the thermostat on my car MYSELF

also, install new spark plugs

some heavy shit is gonna go down

You can do it, man!

On a similar note: everything I did on my truck the other day was for naught. Although it really did need new pads and rotors, the main problem with NOT BEING ABLE TO STOP lies in a failing master cylinder or one of its minions. And the check engine light came back on within 24 hours. hahahaha Joke's on me.

I replaced the spark plugs in a Toyota truck once, it was pretty easy, and a good way to learn different torque levels of my arm. Good experience overall.

I replaced the spark plugs in a Subaru once, it was one of the most ridiculously complicated self-repairs I've ever engaged upon. It involved dismantling nearly the entire engine compartment, and then utilizing those twisty/spinny socket extension things, as well as a system of magnets, and truly hoping for the best since visual confirmation of pretty much everything involved was completely impossible. I felt like a man afterward, but never want to do that ever again. This actually might explain why I bought a Mazda this time.

Oh yeah hey Erik, I drove by like 40 Audis this weekend and not one of them was piloted by a douchebag. Thanx for the positive vibes, yo.

I was just trying to think of whether it was easy or hard to replace the spark plugs in my car, but then remembered I drive a diesel...

My car's been at the panel-beaters for the last 5 weeks after I drove down a 7 foot embankment and smashed the shitz out of it on a tree. Should be getting it back late this week. I'm pretty excited for this.

i loooove the center console on Volvo's

WTF?! I am *this* close to getting a Volvo. Should I take your post as a sign that I should?

Sold the Ranger. Fucking piece of shit. The brake problem was a faulty speed sensor causing the ABS to malfunction. The speed sensor, of course, is located INSIDE the hub which necessitates an entirely new hub to the tune of $550. The check engine light requires a $350 TEST just to figure out where the leak is. On top of that would be the repair cost for whatever is wrong. Fuck Ford. 56,000 miles. The thing should run like brand new. That's what I get for buying something with automotive engineering dating back to the 1960s.

What to get now? Hmm...if Aurel doesn't buy me a MINI, I might lease me a C30.

I have no idea what you are looking for in a car anymore :loco:

C30? awesome little thing ... but you know you can literally get a 2 year old one for 1/2 of msrp. one of the worst resale values in the industry for some reason.

hahahahaha seriously. I'm a little bit insane with cars. I need enough seats for four people and it needs to be either stylish or quick. Both would be nice.

lol @ the C30 resale. You're right about this

*begins used C30 search*

Is there a make these days that doesn't break down by 50,000 miles? Back in the day, you could buy a Toyota - boring as fuck as they were - and rest assured that it was literally never going to break.

It just dawned on me that that was like 1993. :loco:
Showing my age here

or lease a brand new Jetta for like a buck ninenty nine.
kids and sluts will both dig it :loco:
