So I leased a new 2011 VW Tiguan. So far, I'm digging it.
haha, do people drive these in americawould anyone be interested in a 1991 Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon? 178k but with an insane amount of new parts. hit me up for details, i'll let it go for cheap.
2009, in the U.S....the Tiguan is smaller and only came out a few years ago 2008, I think.
2009, in the U.S.
During my conversations with the VW salesmen (who seem to be some of the most knowledgeable car salesmen in the business) he said the Touregs has a lot off issues the first few years, which have since been resolved.
I had decided I wanted a small to mid-sized SUV, because I wanted something a bit roomier and I liked being higher up (when I had my Jeep Liberty). I had the GMC Terrain and Nissan Rogue on my short list, but hadn't really begun test driving cars. Believe it or not, the GMC is the #1 rated small to mid-size SUV on the market (according US Reports) and I just liked the look of Rogue. I was actually unaware of the Tiguan. I thought the only VW SUV was the Toureg, which costs more than I want to spend. When my dealer informed me they would eat my last four payments (not roll into my next car), I took a second look at their line up and discovered the Tiguan. The reviews, both professional and customer, were through the roof. I took it for a test drive. When they tried pressuring me into a deal, I told them I first had to drive the cars on my short list. They gave me a Tiguan for the day, to take car shopping. It wasn't even a contest. The GMC felt bloated and sloppy. The digital display on the head unit looked like something that was cutting edge in the 70s. The Rogue felt like it was made of plastic and those CVT transmissions are ass.I can't fucking believe it ... another VW?
They ate the last four payments on my GLI, as well as the $350 turn in fee, made my first payment on the Tiguan and the dealer bought my GLI (which meant I wasn't responsible for any of the damage that the lease company would have dinged me for). When all was said and done, I got an SE (a $30K sticker), with a 15K mile per year lease, for 36 months, for $1,300 down and a $385 a month payment. That being said, I like the Tiguan ... what kind of lease deal did you get?
I wish.Something tells me Greg is joking. In a couple hours he'll be on here with pics of his new Ferrari.
Part of it is, I fucked up my back when I was 20. I'm constantly tweaking it, causing it to tighten up on me. Falling down into the front seat of a Mustang and climbing back out, started to seem less and less appealing to me. Hence the decision to go to an SUV.still trying to figure out how he went from Mustang to Tiguan.
My dogs are the only kids I'll ever have (not that I actually think of them that way). I'm way too much of a selfish bastard to ever have kids, adopted or otherwise.Maybe he's adopted a couple kids or something

my car is kind of breaking down a little bit, it does not particularly enjoy the cold >:[

178k ain't shit for a volvo 740/940, they are fairly frequently sold with 400k+ miles here and then they probably have a couple of years of life left in them, too
terribly boring cars though
I don't think they have a car i would do a double take on.
still, i fucking love the car. nothing like an old-school turbo wagon. when i get rid of this, i will certainly get another volvo. trying to find a lower-mileage 850 in good shape.
