the news about the new album sounds like it will be something in the direction of Sollens Rötter which is simply fantastic since it's their best album in my book! And the swedish lyrics, omg it sounds so much sexier! :headbang:

As for Vortex singing: as much as i love his vocals and admitting he sings more uhm, beautifully than mr.V (sorry Andreas! :oops: ), i think singing in Vintersorg should be left for mr. Vintersorg at any point :p i hope he wasn't offended or something... Vintersorg with Simen's vocals wouldn't be Vintesorg anymore!! I love mr.V's voice and believe he definitely should keep doing vocals himself in his band. However, it would be awesome to have a Borknagar song with both Vs (Vortex and mr.V) at the same time together!! :yow: (dunno if the new song Vortex lends his voice for, will also include mr.V's vocals... wishful thinking...)

i see the reason of having a duet in borknagar, vortex and mr V both played in the band, so it wouldn't be that weird.

There's a legend about Vortex and Vintersorg singing Colossus together live. It's supposed to be recorded by the Borknagar guys (not sure about just audio or video)...I think Asgeir had it.

Anyway, Vortex and Vintersorg (and hopefully Lars too) will be heard together on 'My Domain', so just wait.
 
Great news on the new album!! I know it's going to be awesome, good to see that is already in development, so I guess it won't be long until it gets out! :D
 
Talking about Vortex & Vintersorg singing together, hmmm... it can be nice, but the bad side is -the competition. I think people would start comparing the voices and that isn't cool, why can't people just enjoy two great voices instead of compare them all the time? Competition in excess annoys me.

In my personal point of view, the most important thing is the magic between voices, the feeling that music creates... something special that everybody can feel but we can't explain!

that's true.
vintersorg and vortex has two totally different kind of voices and it's simply useless to compare them trying to understand who is better.
everyone has it's own preference, and that's natural.
i prefer vintersorg, while a lot of you can tell me that vortex is way better than him. it's just a matter of taste :)
 
Well if I read well I think Mr V only mentioned a collaboration with Simen, and not him to sing the whole album.

Yet I think Vintersorg composing for another voice may be really interesting, more if that voice is vortex...still his voice is more for an Avant Garde album, more like Visions and not so folky, but Im it still will sound incredible.

if we're talking Vintersorg, i strongly insist that mr.V should be the only one singing in his band! If we're talking Borknagar, mr.V singing together with Vortex would be amazing i think!! And if Lazare joins them, it would be a pure blast! :worship:all my fav male voices joined together in 1 song, or at least in 1 album, can't get better than that! I don't think there will be more competition/comparison than there is right now, or have been since Bork has changed so many vocalists.
 
To Lefay: I feel the same, I have a much more stronger connection with Vintersorg than Vortex, actually I'm not a big fan of Vortex, even if I love Borknagar since always. Vortex in Lamented souls is also very good :)

To Elvina: The album Origin is great if you wanna enjoy Lars & Andreas' voices. Lars really surprised me with such a deep voice :)
I think Borknagar has had just 3 vocalists, not so many, hehe :D

competition, I think you do not know what you talking Vortex still have to improve so much to think about competition
