I had some news about Thyrfing. I know some forum-users would know it so here it comes:
I saw you can listen mp3's from the new Thyrfing album on www. thyrfing.com!!!!:D :D

Maybe we can use this tread for this kind of news?? I know this is a Vintersorg forum but there are no forums for bands like Thyrfing and most of you like Viking metal so I make this tread.

i'm looking forward to this album to listen to the tracks entirely.. i can't compare to the older albums though 'cause i haven't listened to them seriously... but at least i liked the samples quite a lot :)
 
Blackspirit: good luck on the sleep front! :D Personally, I only own "Urkraft" and I think it is definitely above-average, showed some excellent potential for great things to come, although I must say (like astarte) that I haven't listened much...

But OH MAN! This new My Dying Bride continues to rock my world!:eek:
 
Oh yeah, The Desperate Hours is all sorts of good. I can't get over My Hope, the Destroyer. The middle part,
"You're mine, my lover
I watch over you
Goodbye, my lover
no sorrow, please, no tears"

just leaves me floored. Actually, it's nearly the same feeling as when To Bid You Farewell kicks in at 7 minutes or so "Devotion eludes..."

AHEM! Doth you mean "The Dreadful Hours"? :D Yeah, it's such a deep album, very intense and rather disturbing in a way.

And "To Bid..." happens to be my alltime favorite Opeth song, that album is also my fav Opeth, it has the most acoustic stuff, which is what I like most about them. If anyone wants to read my interviews with Peter and Mikael, here's the URL: www.metal-observer.de (go to interviews, I think:p)
 
Ah, sweet merciful crap. Yeah, I knew it was Dreadful. I've been having trouble typing all afternoon and evening, but apparently my brain has fallen out as well. But at least I was able to get the lyric quote at least 90% right.

Mayhaps I should go to bed now.

For the third time in a row I'm listening to the sample of
"Draugs harg" and it's so..... so...... AAAAHWWW!!!
I love it already! First time spin --> "Wow, this sounds
way more produced than the earlier stuff, but I like the
heavy guitars, just want them to be more at the front,
and the vocals brought more back...."

Still think this way about the sample, but I can feel
something listening to it as well....

Either I'll love this album to bits, and never stop listening
to it, or, it's too easy to get into and I'll get bored of it
quite quickly.... I hope for the first... >:eek:P
