they most certainly are. the only problem with kent is that their songs turn me into a teddy. is there any cure?

yes. Keep on listening to different kinds of music :) After Kent maybe something "more metal" and usually the teddy-characteristics should go away ;)
But you know that couple of metallers listen to Kent where you would never expect it ;) And the music made by them (not Kent, the others) is more variant, because they have influences from all sides, from melancholic music to hardcore or Black Metal.

NF: still pretty fine. :)

Tranqui@ sad to hear :( Hope things will get improved between your friend and you...the fact that you will keep contact is a good sign...good luck!!

fireangel@ cool that you had a lovely time at your interview!!!

NF: good,it's a nice afternoon here, drinking coffee,mmmmmmmm....glad the Christmas time is over.Had a very cool time, but it was also a bit too much of meeting family this year :p and i need time cause i have a lot of other stuff to take care of....

/troll

well, the curfew plan is fine by me as long as we can go out (how can we control the state of things if we stay in, anyway?). i'd ask you to allow a handful of precious people out as well. otherwise, i'll tell everyone that you're a teddy when you listen to kent. they didn't do that trick for me, i still feel as un-teddy as possible. i hate teh teddies. they're all for empty promises. evil teddies.

@hyena: well, i'm a teddymorph but i'm not for empty promises or evil, you know that. so there's bound to be more exceptions, possibly among the audience of bands such as kent. and yes, we're allowed out but you have to specify who's the rest of the party composed of. and may i point out how we're slowly falling back on a variation of the good old drop-out option all over again?

well, my drop-out option included living in a squat, as far as i remember, and that's definitely not the idea i have now about my future. moreover, i don't think that i'm going nowhere: it's more a feeling along the lines of "people will understand that they're going nowhere, and subsequently mend their evil ways".
the selected party: the boy on the boat, our closest friends, and whoever you want.

NF: sick, about to hurl, see below for explanation.

I just saw P.O.D. live on Jay Leno, how shitty can one band
get? And talk about too loud guitars, could make our much
of what the "singer" was screaming in the mic, most likely
nothing important, but it would be nice to hear still.

@fireangel: three cheers for your interview!
@nick: i'm not working until the 9th! nyaah nyaah nyaah...
@rahve: i seem to recall that one of said options included having to go to america. maybe in the long run it would have helped me, but in a way i think i'm as uninteresting in MA as i am in italy.

NF: Lousy. I feel fat and unable to deliver what I'm supposed to. I want 10 more days of life to try again.

what you mean with "get"? I thought always they are bad ;)
I watched a gig of them on TV once, too, and it was not very interesting, so I did something else afte 15 minutes.
The only new-metallish bands I can stand are Passenger (if you want to put them in that category at all) and Velcra, because they have widespread influences and are great musicians and nu.m is only a part of them.

I can understand that feeling very well. I wish you to be able to deliver the thing with near the quality you want it to be, though! (or all matching your standards of course if possible)
Usually I had to realize that if I could turn back the time to start earlier with my work, I would do it last minute_again :(
Try to do it your best with the available time  and than you can be sure you did the best you can under the given circumstances.

i'm now feeling like asking fireangel if oomph! are ever going to release a new record. ;)
YES!!! on jan 7 will be out an ep ("Augen auf!"), and later in spring the new record, called "Wahrheit oder Pflicht". Tour is also coming up.
check new infos from oomph.de The reason for the delay were, that their old contract with the recordcompany ran out and they needed very long time for negotiations with the new one (which is Gun-Supersonic).

I had an interview-appointment recently but I was very ill that day :erk: (now literally, not my normal nervousness) :ill:, so I also could not go to their gig and hear the new songs.
Now I have to reschedule it; hope it´ll work. My plan is to have half of the questions answered via e-mail and the rest for the next gig, maybe in April. I am just awaiting the answer for the next days.
So you´ll get news both from them and from me ;)

fireangel
*miss oomph!*
