I can scream, I'm actually pretty good at harsh vocals, and I did Beneath the Mire by Opeth for them. Scared a few, including my teacher, but they all loved it.

Yeah I feel that I can do black metal growls much better after I have been actually singing for a while. Really loosens to the throat. Sometimes at my chorus rehearsals I let out a few growls.

I can't stop coughing, maybe it's from death metal growling, I don't know, but I hate it, I cough every couple minutes.
