heh 3 or 4 games ago, the predators were a mere 8 points behind the red wings but they were like "ahh fuck it. 4th or 5th place is pretty good"

considering they only play chicago, c-bus, and st louis for the rest of the season with 2 games thrown in against detroit, id say yeah. haha. but who knows with the way theyre playing now. lost three in a row 5 or 6 GAA each game. 5th place is a good 6 points behind them or something though so who knows.

awesome. out for da season o_O

bwahaha the rangers just went from third to sixth place in the playoffs and will play the devils who have won like 9854987529 games in a row. carolina lost too! haha the east was wild right down to the wire.
i just got back from the preds game where they fucking destroyed the red wings with their backup goalie. theyre the only team in the NHL that was able to hang with the wings this season. should be interesting if they meet in the second round....
:kickass: nhl playoffs = best sporting event on earth :kickass:

oh yeah, forgot about those jackasses. will lose in the second round to the flames probably (i hope) ;)

edit: and guess which two teams kick off their series friday :heh:
yeah, should be an excellent series. i heard the sharks are having some goalie problems. so are the preds with vokoun out and all that. but their back-up, mason, has won six straight games including the red wings. who knows whatll happen

So after years of not being able to follow this sport, I now have access in watching NHL games. I plan on making myself a fan, as I always had an appreciation of this game. But could never follow it as the broadcasting stations don't consider it worthy enough to play on regular local television in the so-cal area. As of the moment, I have no strong sentiment towards any team. need to watch it some more to see who I get an attachment to. Probably will end up being a Ducks fan (Big Angels fan, so it makes sense), or a Calgary Fan (they are canadian beasts from what I have seen). I guess I'll let their upcoming series be the judge.

P.S I really wish there were more Canadian teams like back in the day. Tampa Bay and Phoenix have teams, but Winnipeg does not? Gay!

winnipeg is too small a market. they are the colorado avalanche now. small market team i miss: hartford whalers

Actually after some research, they become the Phoenix Coyotes. The Quebec Nordiques are the Avalanche.

Hey Dorian, are you aware of any documentaries on this sport? Ala Ken Burns esque in scope? I did a couple net searches and I haven;t found diddly in regards to any documentary on the history of this game.

hahaha yeah! woops! in all seriousness, Winnipeg, Quebec, whats the difference?
Anyway, nignogs, hockey season starts in october. How do your gay teams stack up so far? Nashville has added Jason Arnott and JP Dumont (who had the wherewithall to NOT sign with the Red Wings) and it looks like former Vezina-contender Vokoun will be back in net. I think they'll be even better than last year now that they got some size to go with their speedsters.
I haven't been following any other teams but I'm pretty sure the Red Wings will suck cuz their entire roster shoudlve died of old age during the off-season.

It *is*

ps: LOL @ the lack of replies. Apparently RC doesn't attract teh athletezors
