please guys, no politics. Wrong place, and even if you MUST explain yourself, do so in a way that doesn't make you sound like a complete idiot.
 
it was probably just some little mistakes with the whole process of getting work visas. Shit happens in life, unfortunately...my show was the second date of the tour. I'm pissed yes...but they'll reschedule. It's fucking LA...if it happened to kansas or minnesota, I don't think they'd give a shit about those places so to all you guys laughing at the west coast, just be glad it wasn't you. because do you really think they'd give a shit about rescheduling your town?
 
I got this message from Laurent of Pelican: We got a show on Sunday at Neckbeards, 5072 S Prince, Tempe, AZ 85283, .. 480-829-0607. Spread the word! I'll post on the site, etc. tomorrow but wanted to give you a head's up. --Laurent

They're still gonna string together shows on all 3 missing dates if any of you are interested. If you have the night off, Pelican puts on an amazing show not to be missed.

now going back to the issue: i am a student at a university in my country (and as opposed to the system US of A, not every retard with some money gets to go there), and i did a project on biometric authentication at airports. i can say that i have at least SOME expertise in the field. granted, i am not an expert though. are you?

yes, you haven't been "attacked" since 9-11.... but how far would you go to say that it has been because of your countermeasures? you should study logic...

any terrorist can surpass those measures. it's the dumb ones that get caught. they are the ones like the day after the subway bombing in London (do you know where that is? It's in YU-ROP....) that use bombs that don't do any damage, the ones that just make noise...

I mean, did they acquire their visas and are they on the plane yet?

Yeah I noticed that too. Hopefully I'll get to see Nevermore now.. still sad though.. i was really looking forward to tomorrow
 
alright moonlapse, no more politics here. i know that politics is not a good thing on a music related internet forum. however my first remark was nothing out of bounds.

but i didn't hear you say a goddamn thing about that stuff "masterofpuppetz66" was shouting... people like that should be shoved off a board imo... no questions asked. please do me a favour moonlapse, and first start working on abusive people like him instead of telling me what i can or can not discuss here. thanks. it's exactly stuff like that that withholds me from visiting here more often...
 
My statement was a general one, aimed at everyone who was taking the discussion out of bounds... particularily the abusive ones that started it. There's no need to take anything I said personally - it wasn't aimed at you alone.

yes...this sucks butt but theres still hope..we got a few days left to decide whether or not its gonna be saved...but the upside to this is if it dont, Nevermore may be on the rescheduled date...but still...i bought my tickets and it cost me 50 big ones...i really REALLY hope they do save it!!!!
 
I am suprised! haha I haven't really planned yet to travel to LA and where the house of blues is exactly located, but now I have some relief in the eye of disappointment. But hey, if it means Nevermore playing with Opeth, then I'M ALL FOR IT BABY!

on a side note:

does anyone know how ticketmaster handles postponed dates? Can I get a refund/exchange for future show?

EDIT: checked ticketmaster website for refunds and they say it's up to the venue. Does anyone who was going to the LA show, know how the House of Blues handes postponed shows?
