In Flames - traditional metal with a twist. Earth shattering riffs and booming vocals. If you haven't heard of them you've been under a rock

Brand New - Emo. No metal just Emo. Very good though. I suggest "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows"

Demon Hunter - Powerful Christ inspired metal that you would never guess is religious.

Cinder - Mainstream hard rock. They have mellow songs and hard songs. Never blending the 2.

Coldplay - The Scientist = greatest song ever...nuff said.

Stage - VERY melodic and soft with moving and emotional ballads and jams.

12 Stones - Awesome hard rock suitable for mainstrem

Check out Jack off Jill. Jack off Jill is a great hard rock band. Meh, yes, Jack off Jill is a girl band, but they kick ass. ^_^
