the most overrated bands are:
Slayer-Ive never seen he appeal of this band
Pantera-AWFUL, JUST FUCKING AWFUL
Nile-great musicanship but very boring songwriting
Opeth-same
and lastly Behemoth. I loved Satanica but after that it all sounds the same. I listen to Demigod about six times and after every time I thought to myself, "why is this so damn popular?"

Nightwish are a really appealing Symphonic Metal band who create a fine fusion of symphony and metal. They are definitely one of the better Symphonic Metal bands.
