The first season of Rome was mad epic. The second was good too, but didn't match the first one. The way everything tied together in the first season's finale... it was awesome.

TV is mostly crap, and commercials annoy the hell out of me, if a show is good enough to watch I see it online or on DVD.
Anyways anyone here a fan of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace? Have you seen it Satanstoenail? I know it has some vague connections to The Mighty Boosh.
I'm surprised no one has brought up Metalocalypse yet, in a good or bad way. I personally enjoy the show.
Firefly is good too, just sucks that it was canceled.

Same here. Now that I've been downloading my viewing for a while I can't watch tv with advertisements anymore.
Yes great show. The I.T. Crowd is another show from the same crew, not as good though, but worth a look.

I'm watching that shit on HBO. No commercials on HBO. And fucking everything that's in those books can be shown. It's going to be one helluva blood-and-sex-fest. Gods, it will be epic.

Fuck yeah! Considering it's HBO, they really will show everything - they seem to delight in gratuitous profanity and nudity. They seem to think everyone is just dying to see porno in their tv. Anyhoo, I hope they give the violence the brutality it has in the books. As long as they don't pussyfoot around the gore and hire competent actors, they can't fuck it up.

im 5 episodes in(or whatever the # is on the NBC website) and i have to say its a pretty good season so far. Can't wait till it comes out on DVD

The only two shows on TV I watch are House and Lost. House was good for about two or three seasons, despite how repetitive it was. Nowadays it is absolute trash, and the season that is on now is among the worst TV I have ever seen. I watch it out of habit only.
Meanwhile, Lost is great. Good acting, interesting plot, good writing. Not a whole lot of pointless filler episodes, either. Great show. and yes, Ben is one of the best characters ever.

Yay, someone who agrees with me. There are no filler episodes in Season 4, and Locke and Desmond also deserve to be mentioned alongside Ben as some of the most interesting fictional characters ever. The rest of the cast is incredibly strong too.
