IMDb lists 2 movies, so I'm assuming they're gonna do the book in 2 parts in order to include more of the story rather than cutting stuff out and pissing off some of the die hard fans.

That would be SICK! Although I'm not sure how they would do it. It would take like ten movies. Maybe just do the big stories:

Beren and Luthien
Turin Turambar
Feanor
Nirnaeth Arnoediad

There could be a ton. Only problem is that some of these stories span a long fuckin' period of time.
