now watching the wizard of gore

it certainly is gorey. basically, every night this magician does something incredibly violent to a member of the crowd (punch press to the gut, stake through the head...), and in the show they come out unscathed (after a very graphic scene with lots of blood and guts) only to die later of the same wounds.

i liked it. its 70's picture quality, and the ending was kinda cheesy. but the bulk of the movie is great

70's picture quality works great with Horror movies.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original) was slightly disturbing and that 70's production added to the atmosphere. I actually found myself making a weird face during the part where she's at the table screaming and the camera is zooming in on her and shit.

The Wizard of Gore is a fun movie. I especially enjoyed the Montag character, his quirky yet deranged personality was fun to watch.

i agree. even though he was intentionally trying to be mysterious and abstract, he was creepy beyond his words. great casting for sure

Dog Soldiers is fucking awesome. Nothing like some squaddies in the woods killing werewolfs.

Great movie, gotta love that mini tribute to Zulu.

Ever see "THE GAME" with M.Douglas and S. Penn?
Bizaar movie that consists of a sickly rich family, deceit, and the thrilling games these people play. Good stuff...with an unbelievable ending.

No way. Se7en is the best Fincher film.

Fincher is my favorite director.

I loved that film when I first saw it but watched it a few years later and found it kinda stupid, especially towards the end. There's some great stuff in it though.

I'm in the same boat as Satanstoenail on this one. A lot of the script and especially the epic rants are fairly hollow, but in general I think it's a top notch film.

Kick ass. You've got Milos Forman, who also directed One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest then you got Stanley Kubrick, then you've got David Cronenberg. 3 fantastic directors and 3 great movies.
